You check a footwear retailer’s loyalty program expecting the birthday perk you remember from a few years back, and for one major chain, it’s gone. Aldo’s ALDO Crew program, which used to include a birthday treat, shut down for good in July 2026.

These seven have a real, confirmed birthday reward
DSW: $5 for Club and Gold members, $10 for Elite, confirmed in VIP Rewards’ own terms.
Shoe Carnival: a near-identical structure, $5 standard, $10 for Gold members.
Famous Footwear: $5 for STAR members, $10 for SUPERSTAR, plus double points on every purchase during your birthday month.
Adidas: real bonus points on your birthday, scaled to your adiClub level rather than a flat number.
Timberland: 20% off, but only if you’ve opted into marketing communications, since that’s how the discount arrives.
Skechers: a real birthday gift, but only for Silver and Gold tier members, with no amount ever stated.
Crocs: a real birthday email offer, confirmed to exist in practice, though the brand’s own rules have never defined a specific amount.
The program ended, real cashback instead
Aldo‘s ALDO Crew loyalty program, which used to include a birthday-related perk, officially ended July 8, 2026. A genuine 2% cashback rate through TopCashback is the current alternative.
Nothing at all
Vans, Birkenstock, and Lucchese Boot Company all checked out clean of any birthday benefit, confirmed by reading each brand’s own governing terms or FAQ in full. None carry a genuine cashback route either.
