Forever 21 has no birthday reward on any page read, and the company’s own help center says all of its US stores have closed. The brand still sells online. Its only offers are 15% off a first order for email signup and 40% off a first purchase in the app, and rewards issued before May 1, 2025 are no longer accepted.

What Forever 21 Is

Wikipedia says “Forever 21 was a multinational fast-fashion retailer. It was originally founded as Fashion 21 in Highland Park, Los Angeles, in 1984.” The site’s own home page describes itself as “LA-born and style-obsessed, we empower self-expression through standout fashion at unbeatable value.” The online store is now run under a different company name than the old retailer, and its footer names Brands Online, LLC.

What Happened To The Stores

A notice that Forever 21 posted in March 2025 says “we have made the decision to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection,” and “In connection with the filing, we are beginning the process of closing a number of stores across the U.S.” The help center later states the result: “All Forever 21 stores have been closed due to the Chapter 11 filing.” Wikipedia puts a date on it: “By May 1, 2025, Forever 21 permanently closed all of its US locations.” The notice says the process “applies only to Forever 21’s operations in the United States,” and that stores outside the US “will continue to operate business as usual.”

Who Runs The Website Now

Retail Dive reported in September 2025 that “Unique Brands will run Forever 21’s U.S. e-commerce and men’s wholesale.” Its headline framing was that “the fast-fashion brand’s brick-and-mortar era is over in the U.S.” The same coverage mentions that Authentic Brands Group was close to a deal to open Forever 21 stores in the US, but no confirmed 2026 US store opening turned up. An earlier version of this post described a winding-down business, and that no longer matches the pages.

What Happened To Old Rewards

The FAQ is blunt about anything earned before the ownership change: “As a result of the change in ownership, all returns, gift cards, store credits, and rewards issued before May 1, 2025, will no longer be accepted on our site.” The March 2025 notice had already said “At this point, we are no longer offering new gift cards or credit cards.” No page read describes a current rewards program with a birthday tier or a birthday field.

The Offers That Are There

The offers page says “Sign up for email and receive 15% off your first order!” It adds “You’ll receive a unique, one-time-use promo code that cannot be combined with other offers or discounts. Valid online and in-app only.” The app has its own: “Receive 40% off your first in-app purchase in one single transaction before taxes.” Both are for a first purchase, so neither comes around on your birthday.

No Real Cashback Route Found

TopCashback’s Forever 21 address returned a not-found page. Price.com’s page says “Cash back is not currently available for this store.” Fluz lists only its standard 1.5% on a virtual card, which is its general card rate and not a Forever 21 rate. The card still works at checkout on the site: Fluz. A page that doesn’t load isn’t proof that no cashback exists anywhere, but no Forever 21 rate turned up on any of the three. Rates move, so check again before you order.

What Was Actually Checked

Forever 21’s notice to customers, its help center article on stores, its FAQ and offers pages, a Retail Dive report from September 18, 2025 and Wikipedia were read on 2026-10-06. The notice page carries no date of its own and reads like a March 2025 snapshot. The site’s About page was unusable because it showed text from a different retailer, and the gift card article was read through a page-reading tool whose output can’t be quoted word for word.

Eligibility and Cost

The email and app offers are free, one-time and for first purchases only. Nothing read ties a discount to your birthday.

Q&A

Q: Does Forever 21 give a birthday discount?
A: None turned up on the pages read.

Q: Are there still Forever 21 stores in the US?
A: The help center says all Forever 21 stores have been closed, and the online store is still open.

Q: What discounts are listed?
A: 15% off a first order for email signup, and 40% off a first in-app purchase.

Q: Are my old rewards or gift cards good?
A: The FAQ says anything issued before May 1, 2025 is no longer accepted on the site.

Q: Is there cashback at Forever 21?

Compare This To

Forever 21 has no birthday program, where Princess Polly pays $10 to $25 by tier. Lulus pays $5 to $30, and Aeropostale pays $10 from its Insider tier up.

More Information:

Verified against Forever 21’s customer notice, help center, FAQ and offers pages, read first-party 2026-10-06, and a Retail Dive report. Cashback checked on TopCashback, Price.com and Fluz. Programs change their terms often, so check Forever 21’s own page before you rely on the details.
