Nike gives Nike Members 10% off for their birthday, and you have to join before your birthday to get it. The discount needs a $100 minimum purchase, applies to the first $500, and stays active for around 60 days.
What Nike Is
Wikipedia describes it this way: “Nike, Inc. is an American athletic footwear and apparel corporation headquartered near Beaverton, Oregon. It is the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment.” The birthday discount belongs to Nike Membership, so the join step is where this deal starts.
How To Get The Nike Birthday Deal
To get it, become a Nike Member and save your birthday to your Member profile before the day arrives. Nike’s help page says “be sure to join us as a Nike Member before your birthday,” and that the offer is “normally issued on the birthday you have saved to your Nike Member profile.” Opt in to email and app push notifications too, because that’s how Nike says it will tell you when the offer is active. If you’re late, the page says “If you sign up on or after your birthday, you’ll receive your first birthday offer the following year.”
What The Terms Say About Size And Timing
The terms read “10% off select items,” with “a minimum purchase of $100,” applied “to the first $500 of a qualifying purchase.” Put numbers on that and a $100 order takes $10 off, while the most the discount can take off is $50, which you reach on a $500 purchase and which doesn’t grow beyond that. It’s “One-time use only.”
The page uses two phrasings for how long it lasts. One says Nike will “activate your birthday discount on your birthday, and it will stay active for around 60 days.” The FAQ says the discount “is generally valid for 60 days after it’s issued, but please refer to the specific expiration date in your birthday offer.” The terms settle it: the offer “must be redeemed prior to the expiration date and time stated in your annual birthday email.” Use the date in your email, not the 60.
The page says the discount goes onto your “first eligible order,” and it says the offer “requires a minimum purchase of $100.” It doesn’t spell out whether a smaller order would use the offer up, so put what you want into one order.
Where It Works, And What It Leaves Out
Online, you log in as a Member to Nike.com or the Nike App after your birthday email arrives, and the discount is “applied automatically during checkout.” In a Nike store, you “show your annual birthday offer in your Nike App profile during checkout.” It’s redeemable on Nike.com and the Nike App in the United States and at Nike retail stores in the United States, and “Not redeemable on Swoosh.com, or at Nike employee stores.”
The exclusions are listed: the discount isn’t valid on select products, “including but not limited to Nike By You, gift cards, select launch and SNKRS products, and Apple products.” It isn’t transferable and isn’t redeemable for cash, gift cards, credit, or toward previous purchases. On other offers, the page says the discount “can be used in combination with free shipping promo codes only,” and that “Shipping charges and taxes are calculated after the discount.” Nike also says it “may require verification of identity, membership status, and eligibility” and that it “reserves the right to cancel or modify this offer at any time.”
What Was Actually Checked
Nike’s help page “Does Nike Offer a Birthday Discount?”, which carries the Nike Member Birthday Promo Terms and Conditions, was read on 2026-10-02. A plain page fetch returns the article’s text inside the page’s embedded data rather than its visible shell, and the quotes here come from that text. The page doesn’t promise free shipping with the birthday discount: its only shipping line is the one about free shipping promo codes above. It also doesn’t say where in your Member profile the birthday is entered.
