What You Get And When
The amount depends on your tier: Tier X1 members get $5, and Tier X2 and X3 members get $10 as a birthday reward. The tiers are set by spending, with X1 at $0 to $249, X2 at $250 to $499 and X3 at $500 or more. Spending counts within the FLX Rewards Program Year, which runs February 1 to January 31, and a tier you reach carries through the rest of that year and all of the next.
The timing works like this. If you’re opted into emails, Foot Locker emails you a month before your birth month to say the gift is in your FLX Rewards Dashboard. For a November birthday, the email goes out October 1, and you have until the end of November to claim. Rewards have to be claimed in the dashboard within that window or they’re removed. After you claim it, your birthday reward expires 30 days later.
If You Join In Your Birthday Month
You can still get the gift, with less room. Members who sign up during their birth month can only claim the reward for that month. Joining a month ahead means you get the whole claiming window and the email.
Spending It
Online, you sign in and apply the FLX Cash at checkout. In a participating store, currently Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports, you ask a team member to verify your account. Two rules apply: the FLX Cash amount has to be less than the order subtotal, and only one other eligible promotional offer can be used with it. So a $10 reward needs an order above $10.
