Northern Tool has no birthday reward. Its paid Advantage Membership terms were read in full, and the only gift card mentioned is tied to annual renewal, not a birthday.
What Northern Tool + Equipment Is
Northern Tool + Equipment is a retailer specializing in power tools, generators, and outdoor power equipment, selling through both physical stores and a large online catalog aimed at contractors and serious DIYers. It also carries several private-label tool and equipment brands, positioned as professional-grade alternatives at a lower price than name-brand equivalents.
What Was Actually Checked
Northern Tool’s Advantage Membership terms, read in full with no truncation, list every benefit explicitly: “Free Shipping On Standard Shipped Items Everyday,” “Exclusive Email Deals,” “FREE $25 Gift Card w/ Annual Renewal,” “Exclusive Catalogs,” “Exclusive Coupons,” and a satisfaction guarantee. No birthday perk appears anywhere in that list or in the rest of the terms document.
Don’t Confuse the Renewal Gift Card With a Birthday Gift
The $25 gift card Northern Tool does offer arrives with your annual membership renewal, tied to your signup date, not your birthday. It’s a real, confirmed benefit of the paid membership, just not the one this post is checking for.
No Cashback Route Either
Fluz’s only listing for Northern Tool is its generic 1.5% virtual-card rate, which doesn’t count as a real route under this site’s standard.
Eligibility and Cost
Advantage Membership is a paid program, $39.99 a year, which includes the $25 renewal gift card as one of its benefits. Membership renews automatically each year, which is when the $25 gift card is reissued.
Q&A

A: That’s tied to your annual membership renewal date, not your birthday.

A: $39.99 a year.

Q: When was Northern Tool founded?
A: 1981, and it has grown from a single Minnesota store into a national chain with a large e-commerce operation.

Compare This To
Ace Hardware and Do It Best both have real birthday offers with no paid membership required. Harbor Freight runs a similar paid-membership model with the same result: nothing birthday-specific.
