You’d assume the biggest names in home improvement have the best loyalty perks, since they’re the ones with the resources to build a real rewards program. Home Depot and Lowe’s both run loyalty programs, and neither has anything for your birthday. The real birthday perks in this category come from smaller, member-owned hardware cooperatives instead, the kind of stores you might drive past on the way to the big-box lot.

These three have a real, confirmed birthday reward
Ace Hardware: a $5 offer for standard Ace Rewards members, $10 for Premier members, sent during your birth month at participating stores.
Do It Best: a $5.00 Reward Coupon around your birthday, confirmed in the program’s own official rules, with no points threshold required to earn it.
Tractor Supply Co.: a real Birthday Gift through Neighbor’s Club, sent to your account Wallet and by email on the first day of your birthday month. No fixed dollar amount is ever stated.
No program, real cashback instead
Home Depot: zero birthday benefit in Pro Xtra, its only loyalty program, which is built for professional accounts anyway. A genuine 6% Fluz cashback rate exists instead.
Lowe’s: nothing in My Lowe’s Rewards’ tier structure is birthday-specific. A genuine 8% Fluz cashback rate, the highest in this roll-up, exists instead.
Five have nothing at all
Harbor Freight Tools: its paid Inside Track Club membership has no birthday element anywhere in its terms, and no cashback partner carries a genuine rate either.
Sherwin-Williams: PaintPerks has nothing tied to a member’s birthday, confirmed on two separate official pages. No cashback route exists here either.
True Value: its FAQ only speculates about possibly sending a birthday card, its actual program terms have no birthday content at all, and no genuine cashback route exists either.
Menards: its official BIG Card page lists no birthday benefit, and an in-store birthday gift claim doesn’t trace to anything Menards has actually published.
Northern Tool + Equipment: its paid Advantage Membership terms include a $25 renewal gift card, not a birthday benefit. No cashback route exists here either.
