OpticsPlanet doesn’t offer a birthday discount. It has two ongoing offers, 2% back in OP Bucks for registered accounts and an email sign-up discount, and neither is tied to a birthday. If you were told it sends a birthday code, there’s no sign of one.
What OpticsPlanet Is
OpticsPlanet was founded in 2000 and is one of the largest internet retailers in the United States. It sells gear for people who play, work and serve, with optics as the starting point.
No Birthday Offer
OpticsPlanet’s rewards terms, help center and promotions FAQ don’t mention a birthday benefit. Its promotions FAQ points shoppers to three places for discounts: its email list, its text messages and its app. It also has a separate military and law enforcement discount.
OP Bucks: 2% Back
You need a registered OpticsPlanet account to earn and use OP Bucks. For every qualifying item you buy, you get 2% back in OP Bucks. Blazin’ Deals, warranties, gift certificates and donations don’t count. OP Bucks expire on a date set from the day they were issued, and OpticsPlanet sends a reminder email before they go. Referring a friend has earned $20 in OP Bucks.
The Email Sign-Up Offer
OpticsPlanet’s email sign-up box has offered 10% off for subscribing, along with early access to promotions, sales events and pre-order sales. It doesn’t say whether the discount is for a first order or what it excludes, and it has nothing to do with your birthday. Check the current offer on the site before you count on the 10%.
Shipping, Returns And Price Matching
OpticsPlanet ships free on most orders over $49 to the contiguous 48 states, D.C. and U.S. military APO, FPO and DPO addresses, and it takes returns within 30 days of receipt. If you find a lower price at a competitor, you can ask for a price match from the Price Match button on the product page. The team reviews each request and contacts you.
Eligibility and Cost
Registering an account and subscribing to the emails are both free. OpticsPlanet doesn’t state an age requirement for OP Bucks.
