Alo Yoga’s birthday reward is a gift with a purchase, not a discount code, and ALO Access members in the United States can redeem one a year during their birthday month. The terms say the gift options change with supplies, and that this benefit isn’t available while Alo is running a sitewide sale.
What Alo Yoga Is
Wikipedia describes it this way: “Alo Yoga is an American premium athletic apparel retailer headquartered in Los Angeles.” It was founded in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge, and the name is an acronym for “air, land, ocean.” Alo’s own menu sorts clothing by activity, listing Yoga, Train, Pilates, Run, Tennis and Lounge. The birthday gift comes with its rewards program, ALO Access, which is where this deal starts.
How To Get The Alo Yoga Birthday Deal
To get it, join ALO Access with an ALO account before your birthday month. The terms say “All members are automatically VIP upon enrollment in the Access Program,” and the birthday line covers “All ALO Access members in the United States,” so you don’t need a higher tier. The terms don’t say how far ahead you have to join or where your birthday is entered, so joining before your birthday month starts is the safest reading, and checking your account for a birthday field is worth a minute.
What The Terms Actually Promise
The Birthday gift line reads: “All ALO Access members in the United States are eligible to redeem one birthday gift with purchase per year during the month of their birthday.” So it’s one gift, once a year, in the month of your birthday, and it comes with a purchase. It isn’t a percentage off and it isn’t a code.
The terms leave out three things a reader would want. They don’t name the gift, they don’t state a minimum purchase, and they don’t say whether it arrives automatically or has to be claimed. The only description is that “Birthday gift options are subject to change and are based on availability while supplies last at aloyoga.com and ALO retail stores.” For comparison, the welcome gift in the same list is stated as “a free gift on purchases over 150 US Dollars.” The birthday line gives no such figure.
The Catch In The Fine Print
Just above the list of benefits, the terms say “the following benefits are not available during the exclusion periods when ALO offers sitewide sale promotions.” The birthday gift is on that list. The terms don’t say when those periods are, so a birthday month that overlaps a sitewide sale may leave you without the gift. The terms also say “ALO reserves the right to modify or cancel any promotion at any time without notice.”
Tiers matter for other benefits, not this one. The program has three levels: VIP at 0 to 299 points, A-List at 300 to 999 and All Access at 1,000 or more, with points accruing at “1 point per 1 US Dollar.” Free 2-day shipping is listed for A-List and All Access, while the birthday gift is listed for every member.
What Was Actually Checked
Alo’s Terms of Use, Section D, the ALO Access Terms and Conditions, was read on 2026-10-02 with a plain page fetch, and every quote above comes from it. The ALO Access page itself loads its content with script, and a plain fetch of its visible text returned a menu and two headings, “Three Levels of Benefits” and “Member-Only Benefits,” so nothing from it is used here. Whether Alo emails the gift offer or shows it at checkout isn’t in the terms.

Alo’s reward is a gift. Athleta is also a gift, described only as “selected at Gap Inc.’s discretion,” with your birthday needed on file seven business days before your birthday month. Gymshark gives a 15% code instead, emailed on your birthday. Title Nine promises a “treat” and names no amount.
