Uncommon James gives a birthday gift in UJ Rewards points to members at the Insider tier and above: 100 points ($5) at Insider, 200 points ($10) at Icon and 300 points ($15) at VIP. The free Core tier doesn’t list a birthday gift, and Insider starts at $300 of spending, so this one rewards people who already shop there.
What Uncommon James Is
Uncommon James’s story page says Kristin Cavallari “knows what she wants and makes it happen,” and that “That’s exactly what she did in 2017 when founding Uncommon James with the desire to create jewelry that elevates not only personal style, but confidence.” The shop sells necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, plus candles, skincare and fragrance from the same brand.
How To Get The Uncommon James Birthday Deal
To get it, join UJ Rewards and reach the Insider tier. The program page describes Core as the starting tier, and the help center lists it as “Free to join.” Joining earns “20 points,” and the rewards page invites you to “Join and start earning today.” From there, the tiers are set by spending: Insider is “Spend $300,” Icon is “Spend $850” and VIP is “Spend $1,500.”
What The Gift Is Worth
The tier list on the rewards page shows the birthday gift under each of the three upper tiers: “100 Points ($5) Birthday Gift” at Insider, “200 Points ($10) Birthday Gift” at Icon and “300 Points ($15) Birthday Gift” at VIP. The Core tier’s list has no birthday line.
Points work like a coupon. The help center says “Once you’ve earned a minimum of 100 points, you can redeem them for a discount at checkout on $50+ orders (before taxes + shipping, but after discounts),” and “For every 200 points you earn, you’ll earn $10 off.” It also says “Points will expire after 12 months after they were earned,” so the gift is worth using within the year.
Put it in perspective. At the Core rate of 1 point per $1, $300 of spending earns 300 points, which the page’s own redemption chart values at $15. The birthday gift is a small extra on top of a rewards program you’d be using for the shopping, not a reason to spend toward a tier.
How Tiers Are Counted
The help center says “Tier is determined by your spend during a rolling 12 month period,” and “Once you earn a tier, you’ll keep that status for at least 12 months.” Returns count against you: “The amount of the returned item will be deducted from your qualifying tier spend.” The program changed on October 1, 2026, and the update FAQ says “Your new tier earning period also begins on October 1, 2026,” so tier progress for the new period started fresh that day, while “Your points and order history did not reset.”
What The Pages Don’t Say
None of the pages read says when the birthday gift arrives, whether it lands on your birthday or sometime in your birthday month, or where your birthday gets entered. The “Ways to Earn Points” list on the rewards page has no birthday line. It lists joining, purchases, email and text signups, referrals, social follows and reviews, so the gift sits only in the tier benefits. If you reach Insider and no gift shows up in your points balance around your birthday, the help center has a Contact Us page.
What Was Actually Checked
Uncommon James’s UJ Rewards page was read on 2026-10-03 through headless Chrome, because the tier benefits are loaded by script and the plain-fetch copy of the page doesn’t contain the tier list. The help center articles on what UJ Rewards is, earning, redeeming, tiers, points expiring and the program update were read with a plain fetch, along with the story page. None of the help center articles mentions a birthday gift, so the rewards page is the only source for the amounts.
