How To Get The Anthropologie Birthday Deal
Join AnthroPerks online, in the iOS app or at the register in a store, where an associate helps you sign up. The terms say “No purchase is necessary” and that members must be “legal residents of the United States” who are 13 or older and have a valid email address. The one thing to do beyond signing up is give Anthropologie your birthday. The terms say “Members must have a valid birthday on file with their registered Member account at least 16 days before their birthday,” so add it when you join, not the week of.
What The Birthday Offer Is
The AnthroPerks page lists the perk under the letter B for Bonus: “An extra 20% off in your birthday month (yay!).” The text beside it calls the same perk “a birthday discount & more surprises.” The terms and the FAQ don’t give a percentage anywhere. They say how the offer works instead: it “will be issued via email 2 weeks before birthday and is valid for a period of 45 days from issuance.” If the email lands two weeks ahead, your code runs about a month past your birthday, which is longer than the birthday month in that description, so go by the dates printed on your own code.
If You Sign Up Late
The current promotions page covers this case directly: “If you sign up for the AnthroPerks program during your birthday month, you will receive your discount the following year.” If the email doesn’t show up, the page says “be sure to check your spam or junk mail.” The terms also say that if you opt out of marketing emails, “you will no longer receive notifications regarding Program benefits,” and the birthday code comes by email, so stay subscribed.
What Else Comes With It
New members get a welcome offer of $20 off one full-price purchase, emailed 15 days after sign-up, and the promotions page says “You must subscribe to our marketing emails in order to receive your discount.” The terms give it 30 days to use. Joining also brings early access to sales, first looks at new products and invitations to member events. Paperless returns are listed too: “No receipt needed!”
What The Old Post Claimed
An earlier version of this post said Anthropologie never states a percentage or amount for the birthday perk and that anyone quoting a figure was guessing. The company does publish one, in the description of a picture on its program page, even though the FAQ and terms leave it out. The rest of the earlier post held up: the 16-day deadline, the email about two weeks before your birthday, the spam folder tip and the $20 welcome treat all match the current pages.
