How To Get The ASOS Birthday Deal
Join ASOS.WORLD. The hub page says “Join for free now,” and the terms say you must be “a current registered account holder on the ASOS Website in the United States” and “aged 16 years or over.” A help article is direct about why the program matters here: “To receive a birthday discount code, you’ll need to have an ASOS account and be a member of ASOS.WORLD, where your birthday discount is offered as an exclusive benefit.”
What The Birthday Discount Is Worth
The hub page earns “1 point for every $1 you spend at ASOS” and sorts members into four tiers: Stylist at 0 to 149 points, Trendsetter at 150 to 299, Icon at 300 to 649 and A-Lister at 650 points. Its “Birthday discount” row then reads 20%, 20%, 20% and 25%. The terms agree: the free first tier lists “Birthday Discount (20%),” and the top tier lists “Birthday Discount (25%).”
How The Code Arrives
The tiers page gives the timing: “We prepare your birthday discount code 16 days before your birthday, and we can’t change it once it’s set up.” Delivery is by email: “Once your date of birth on your account is set and your discount code is ready, we’ll send it to you via the email address registered to your ASOS account.” The pages don’t say how long the code stays valid, or whether there’s a minimum spend or an excluded category. The promo help page says “All our promo codes have specific terms and conditions you have to meet to be able to apply them to your order,” so read the terms shown with your code.
The Date-Of-Birth Deadline
This is the step people miss. The tiers page says “For you to be able to get your birthday discount, you need to set up your date of birth in your ASOS account at least 24 hours before your birthday. If it’s added later, you won’t get your birthday discount until next year.” Add it the day you join, rather than waiting for the month to come around.
The A-Lister Condition
The 25% tier asks for more than points. The terms define Tier 4 as “650 Points+ within a 12-month period and a Return Rate of less than 70%.” The tiers page repeats the return rule as “keeping your item returns rate below 70% (from January 2026 onwards).” Members at the lower tiers don’t face that condition for the 20%.
Don’t Mix It Up With The Welcome Offer
The ASOS home page also says “Get 20% off when you subscribe to our regular updates*.” That’s a separate offer for new customers in the US, with a $50 minimum, and it isn’t the birthday discount.
What Was Actually Checked
The ASOS.WORLD hub, the tiers and benefits page, the promo code help page and the US terms and conditions were read on 2026-10-06 through headless Chrome, since a page fetch timed out. ASOS ran an earlier UK program, A-List. Retail Week reported in 2018 that “we’ve decided to wind down A-List, our UK loyalty programme,” so the pre-2025 descriptions of ASOS birthday perks don’t apply to the current US program.
