Avis has no birthday reward. Avis Preferred’s program pages and its complete terms, checked across four separate documents, have nothing tied to a member’s birthday. A genuine 3% cashback rate through TopCashback is the real option instead.
What Avis Is
Avis is one of the largest car rental companies in the US, operating alongside its sister brand Budget under the same parent company, Avis Budget Group. It was founded in 1946 at Willow Run Airport in Michigan, one of the first car rental companies to operate from an airport.
What Was Actually Checked
Four separate Avis Preferred documents were read directly: the program overview page, the terms landing page, an older terms PDF, and the current Preferred Points terms and conditions covering the full tier and point-earning structure. None mentions “birthday” or “birth month” anywhere. The program runs Avis Preferred (base, free), Avis Preferred Plus (10-19 rentals or $4,000-$5,999 a year, one-class upgrade, dedicated reservation line), and Avis President’s Club (20+ rentals or $6,000+ a year, two-class upgrade, guaranteed car with 24-hour advance reservation).
Avis and Budget Are Separate Programs
Despite sharing the same parent company, Avis Preferred and Budget’s Fastbreak program are structurally separate: independent enrollment pages, independent terms documents, with neither cross-referencing the other.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
TopCashback confirms directly: “Get 3% of the price back with our Avis Rent A Car Cash Back offers.” Fluz’s only listing for Avis is its generic 1.5% virtual-card rate, which doesn’t count as a real merchant-specific route under this site’s standard.
Eligibility and Cost
Avis Preferred is free to join. None of its tier benefits are birthday-specific.
