Buffalo Wild Wings has no birthday benefit anywhere in Blazin’ Rewards. The program is documented in detail and a birthday reward is not part of it. What it does have is a real cashback rate of 8%, which is the highest of the three no-birthday chains covered this month.
What Buffalo Wild Wings Is
Buffalo Wild Wings is an American sports bar chain built around chicken wings in a long list of sauces and dry rubs, alongside burgers, tenders and shareable starters. The format is wall-to-wall screens showing live sport, which makes it a group and game-day destination more than a quiet dinner. It runs a mix of company and franchised locations and is owned by Inspire Brands.
What Blazin’ Rewards Actually Does
- 10 points per $1
- 12 points per $1 at Blazin’ Status, reached after $250 in a calendar year
- Points valid one year
That is the whole structure, and no birthday benefit appears anywhere in it. The tier bonus is real but modest: a 20% lift in earn rate after $250 of spending.
The 8% Cashback Is The Better Route
Buffalo Wild Wings carries a genuine merchant-specific rate of 8% through Fluz. That is a negotiated rate, not the flat generic virtual-card rate that applies almost everywhere and does not count under this site’s standard.
On a group order, which is how most people use this chain, 8% is substantial. A $120 table bill returns nearly $10, which is more than any single free birthday item on this site is worth. Fluz
Comparing The Two Ways To Save
The points program and the cashback route are not exclusive, and the comparison is worth making explicitly.
At 10 points per dollar with a one-year expiry, Blazin’ Rewards rewards frequency. Cashback at 8% rewards size. A reader who visits monthly is better served by points; a reader who goes twice a year for playoff games is better served by cashback on a large bill.
Nothing stops you doing both on the same order.
Why A Sports Bar Skips The Birthday Reward
Worth a thought, because it explains why this absence is unlikely to change. Birthday rewards work best where the reward is a small, cheap, self-contained item: a doughnut, a scoop, a coffee. Wings do not come that way, and a single wing is not a reward anybody wants.
The alternative would be dollars off a check, which is a discount rather than a gift and costs the operator real margin on a large table. Chains in this category tend to put their budget into points and tiers instead, which is exactly what Blazin’ Rewards does.
