Coros Has No Birthday Reward, but Credits $50 for an Old Garmin

Coros doesn’t list a birthday reward on any page read for this post, but its trade-in page credits at least $50 toward a new Coros watch when you send in a working Garmin or Apple GPS watch, and its refurbished store lists 20% off. No cashback route turned up.

What Coros Is

Coros’s About page says “We empower athletes around the world to achieve their biggest goals,” and describes the company as one that “develops innovative training products for endurance sports.” Its timeline lists the first Coros GPS watch, the PACE, in May 2018. The watch lineup on the home page now runs from the PACE 4 and APEX 4 to the NOMAD, and the site also sells a bike computer, a heart rate monitor and sensors.

The Trade-In Program

This is the closest thing to a reward on the site, and it’s aimed at people switching from another brand. The Trade-In page says “Trade in any functioning Garmin or Apple GPS watch and receive at least $50 credit toward your next COROS watch purchase made through the COROS website.” The fine print: “This program is exclusive to US residents. Credit applies only to orders placed on COROS.com.”

The credit comes back to you after the fact. The five steps on the page are to order your new watch, submit your application, receive a free shipping label, ship your old watch to Coros and get a refund for your new watch. The refund is issued to your Coros order “within 2 weeks after your old Garmin or Apple watch is received and the condition is verified by us,” so you pay full price up front.

There are a few one-way doors. The page says “the trade-in can’t be canceled once you ship out your old watch,” and “We will not return your old watch even if you choose to return your COROS order.” If Coros rejects the old watch, the page says it can’t be returned and that “it will be recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.” Trade-ins of Coros watches or other brands aren’t accepted: “We aim to offer a trade-in option for COROS users in the future but currently lack the resources to support it.” The page doesn’t say what happens when the person ordering the new watch and the person sending in the old one are different people, so ask Coros before you count on it for a gift.

Refurbished Coros at 20% Off

The Refurbished page says “Save 20% off on Refurbished COROS Products with 1-year warranty. Equivalent to new in performance and reliability.” It lists a refurbished COROS PACE 4 at “$199,” a refurbished COROS NOMAD at “$279” and a refurbished COROS VERTIX 2S at “$559,” and it also lists sensors and older models. The page doesn’t say who refurbishes the watches or what the 20% is measured against, and prices move, so check the current price on the page.

The Student Offer and HSA/FSA Payment

A February 20, 2026 Coros story says the company “has officially partnered with Student Beans, a leading student verification platform.” It says “Verified students in the United States can now enjoy a special offer on COROS products by signing up or logging in through the Student Beans portal,” after which “they’ll receive a unique code that can be used at checkout on coros.com.” The story doesn’t state the offer’s size, and students outside the US are told to contact Coros support.

Coros also takes HSA and FSA money through Truemed. A January 24, 2025 article says to add a watch, DURA, Heart Rate Monitor or POD 2 to your cart, choose Truemed at checkout and pay with your HSA or FSA card. It says “Eligible for U.S. customers only,” and explains that a Truemed provider reviews a qualification survey and that “Within 24-48 hours, you’ll receive your LMN via email.” Its list of eligible products names the watches, the DURA and the Heart Rate Monitor.

Shipping, Returns and Warranty

The home page footer says “Free U.S. shipping at $35+ and 30-day money back guarantee,” followed by “*AK and HI not included.” It describes the warranty as an “Industry Leading Global Warranty” and gives no terms. The addresses tried for the Shipping and Returns page and the warranty page didn’t load (a not-found page and a challenge page), so the details behind those two lines weren’t read.

The home page’s subscribe box says “Subscribe for product arrivals, software updates, and more,” and mentions no discount.

No Cashback Route Found

Price.com’s Coros page says “Cash back and coupons are not currently available for Coros.” TopCashback’s address for Coros landed on a page titled “Athleisure Cash Back & Discounts,” which doesn’t mention Coros. Fluz’s address returned a 404 page that reads “This page got lost in the jungle.” So there’s no rate to quote, and no coupon codes either. The savings on this site are the trade-in credit, the refurbished prices and the student code.

What Was Actually Checked

Coros’s home, About, Trade-In, Refurbished, Student Beans and HSA/FSA pages were searched for the word “birthday,” and none has a match. Two addresses tried for shipping and student pages returned Coros’s “trail you’re looking for doesn’t exist” page, so the footer’s “For Students” link wasn’t read, and the warranty address returned a “Just a moment…” challenge page. Wikipedia has no article on Coros, so the company description comes from Coros’s own About page. If Coros sends birthday emails to people with accounts, none of these pages would show it.
