Giant Eagle has no birthday reward, but it clears a real bar through cashback instead. Fluz sells a Giant Eagle gift card at 2.5%, a merchant-specific rate above the generic card.
What Giant Eagle Is
Giant Eagle is a supermarket chain based in Pittsburgh, with locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana, known for its fuelperks program tying gas discounts to grocery spending.
What Was Checked
Giant Eagle’s myPerks loyalty program page was checked directly. No mention of a birthday reward appears anywhere on the page or in what the program describes as its member benefits.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
Fluz sells a Giant Eagle gift card at 2.5% cashback, confirmed as merchant-specific by the page’s own title (“Giant Eagle gift cards with 2.5% cashback”), not the generic 1.5% virtual-card rate that applies almost everywhere else. A merchant with no birthday benefit can still be a real deal through a completely different mechanism.
What That Means For You
myPerks still earns fuelperks and regular grocery savings; there’s just nothing added for your birthday. The Fluz gift card route is worth using regardless of the loyalty program, since it works on top of whatever else you’re already doing to save there.
Eligibility and Cost
myPerks is free to join, with no membership fee. The 2.5% Fluz rate requires purchasing a gift card through Fluz specifically, separate from the loyalty program itself.
