Hidesign does have a birthday perk, but it belongs to the Hidesign Circle in India, and its own pages say the coupons and redemption work only inside India. The US store, run by Hidesign America, Inc., doesn’t mention a birthday offer, so there’s nothing for a US shopper to claim.
What Hidesign Is
Wikipedia describes it this way: “Hidesign is a leather goods manufacturer based in Pondicherry.” It names Dilip Kapur as president. The About page on hidesign.com opens in 1977 with Kapur, back in India after a PhD in international affairs, following his hobby of designing leather bags, and its timeline starts in 1978. The US store’s brand page says “Founded in 1978,” and Wikipedia’s infobox lists 1979. The sources differ by a year, and Hidesign’s own pages say 1978.
The Birthday Perk Is India Only
The Hidesign Circle page says “Joining our loyalty program is free!” and that you join by purchasing any Hidesign product at one of its stores in India or on hidesign.com. Each of the three tiers gets one birthday discount. Silver is “15% off on any 1 product during the birthday month,” Gold is “25% off on any 1 product during the birthday month” and Platinum is “40% off on any 1 product during the birthday month.” Gold starts at more than 15,000 rupees of purchases in 12 months and Platinum at more than 30,000 rupees. The page adds that “only one product will be applicable for the birthday discount” if you buy two or more on one bill, and that the birthday privileges are “activated 30 days after the first purchase is made or from the date of enrolment in the Loyalty Program.”
The coupon arrives in your birthday month: “you will receive a unique Birthday Coupon during your birthday month based on your loyalty tier.” The enrollment details it asks for are your name, mobile number, email, gender and birth date and year.
Why That Doesn’t Reach The US
The Circle’s own FAQ has a question for international customers. It says you can enroll, but “all information, notifications, and coupons will be sent only to an Indian mobile number.” Points can be redeemed only at Hidesign stores in India or on hidesign.com, and “delivery and redemption are valid only within India.” For someone in the US, that means the coupon has nowhere to go and the discount can’t be used on an order delivered here. That’s why this post is typed as a no for a US reader, even though the perk is real for people shopping in India.
What The US Store Says
The US store has its own pages and its own policies. None of its five pages read mentions a birthday, a loyalty program or rewards. Its footer says “Sign up for the latest news, offers and styles,” with no amount attached. Its shipping page says “Hidesign offers free standard shipping on all orders within the continental United States.” The returns section says “you may return any unused product within 30 days of purchase,” and “Customers are expected to return items to Hidesign at their own cost.” The warranty covers bags for one year and small leather goods for six months, and only for products sold in the US by Hidesign America.
The India site makes the split plain. Its FAQ says “This return policy applies to products purchased in India only. Each international market has its specific return policy and products should be returned to the country and vendor of purchase.”
No Real Cashback Route Found
TopCashback’s Hidesign addresses returned not-found pages. Price.com’s Hidesign page says “Cash back and coupons are not currently available for Hidesign,” and Fluz returns a 404 for Hidesign. A page that doesn’t load isn’t proof that no cashback exists anywhere, but no rate turned up on any of the three. Rates move, so it’s worth a quick look before a big purchase.
What Was Actually Checked
On hidesign.com, the home page, About page, loyalty program page, FAQ, terms and store locator were read. On the US store, the home page, the brand and story pages, the shipping and returns page and the contact page were read. All of it was read on 2026-10-03 with a plain page fetch, and Wikipedia’s company summary was read from its article page. The three cashback sites were read the same day.
