Hy-Vee has no birthday reward. Its PERKS loyalty program was checked on two separate official documents, its full FAQ and its actual Terms and Conditions, and neither mentions anything tied to a member’s birthday.
What Hy-Vee Is
Hy-Vee is an employee-owned supermarket chain based in Iowa, with locations across the Midwest, known for its full-service grocery stores that often include a pharmacy, fuel station, and prepared-food counter.
What Was Actually Checked
Hy-Vee PERKS’ own FAQ page, read in full with every one of its 9 accordion sections expanded rather than left collapsed, contains zero mentions of “birthday” anywhere in over 16,000 characters of content. The program’s actual Program Terms and Conditions document, a separate page from the FAQ, was also read in full and likewise contains no birthday mention. The FAQ does ask members to provide their date of birth during identity verification, but nothing in either document ties that information to a reward of any kind.
Why the Birthdate Question Is a Red Herring
A program asking for your birthdate doesn’t necessarily mean it uses that date for anything beyond identity verification. Hy-Vee PERKS defines several reward types in its own terms, fuel discounts, member pricing, free product or service rewards, and sweepstakes entries, and none of them is triggered by a member’s birthday.
No Cashback Route Either
Fluz’s only listing for Hy-Vee is its generic 1.5% virtual-card rate, which doesn’t count as a real route under this site’s standard. TopCashback has no listing for Hy-Vee at all, and Price.com states directly that cashback isn’t currently available for Hy-Vee.
Eligibility and Cost
Hy-Vee PERKS is free to join. None of its defined reward types are birthday-specific.
