Kate Spade has no birthday reward on any page read, and the offer it does have is a 15% welcome code for email and text signups. The money-back side is where this one is worth a look: on the day it was checked, TopCashback listed 20% for a new Kate Spade customer and 15% for an existing one.
What Kate Spade Is
Wikipedia describes Kate Spade New York as “an American fashion house founded in January 1993 by Kate and Andy Spade, along with Elyce Arons and Pamela Bell.” The company was bought by Tapestry in 2017, and Tapestry also owns Coach. The outlet at katespadeoutlet.com is a separate site with its own offers.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
TopCashback’s Kate Spade page reads “Get up to 20% of the price back with our Kate Spade New York Cash Back offers.” The rate table lists “New Kate Spade New York Customer Purchase” at 20% and “Existing Kate Spade New York Customer Purchase” at 15%, and each line carries an “Improved” tag. The Kate Spade Outlet page shows the same 20% and 15% split.
TopCashback’s exclusions are worth reading before you order: “Purchase or redemption of a Kate Spade New York gift card,” “Employee purchases,” “Purchases identified as reseller activity,” “Purchases with item quantities greater than 2” and “Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback.” Its terms add that “Cash Back is calculated only on the item(s) price and does not include taxes, shipping or other fees.” The same page says “Kate Spade offers students a 15% discount via UNiDAYS,” and that “Cash Back is ineligible if you use the student discount.”
Price.com’s page reads “Earn 5% cash back at Kate Spade New York,” with “Official Kate Spade New York cash back partner” and a maximum of $15 per order. It says cash back “will be added to your wallet in approximately 90 days.” Fluz lists 1.5% on a virtual card, which isn’t a Kate Spade-specific rate. TopCashback’s own text says rates “may vary, depending on the day or time of year,” so check the number the day you order.
The 15% Signup Offer
Kate Spade’s promo codes page is headed “EMAIL/SMS SIGN-UP – ENJOY 15% OFF YOUR PURCHASE,” and a banner on the site reads “Enjoy 15% off your first order when you sign up for email & SMS!” The terms say “Enjoy 15% off your purchase only at katespade.com. Not valid at katespadeoutlet.com, kate spade new york outlets, department store or on any other online site.” To use it online, “enter unique promo code at checkout,” and “Offer valid from the date the unique code is received.”
The terms also list what it doesn’t cover: “select full-priced sleepwear, full-priced swim, lighting, fragrance, full-priced watches, apple watch bands, and select full-priced styles,” plus gift cards and previous purchases. And “Sale items discounted at 50% off or more are final sale.”
Whether the signup code and a cashback order mix isn’t spelled out. TopCashback excludes “Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback,” and the pages read don’t say if Kate Spade’s unique code counts. If the cashback matters more to you than the 15%, place the order without the code.
What The Pages Don’t Say
None of the Kate Spade pages read mentions a birthday offer, a birthday field on the account form or a rewards program. The account page says you can sign up for “email updates on new product announcements, gift ideas, special promotions, sales, and more,” and the signup box asks only for an email address.
What Was Actually Checked
Kate Spade’s live site answers a plain page fetch with an HTTP 403 and the page-reading tool the same way, and headless Chrome timed out, so that’s our fetch path and not Kate Spade saying no. The pages were read from six Internet Archive copies dated between September 2024 and September 30, 2026: the promo codes and discounts page, the promo codes page, the email signup page, the create-account page, the FAQ and the terms. TopCashback, Price.com and Fluz were read on 2026-10-03, with TopCashback through headless Chrome because its rate table is loaded by script. Wikipedia’s company summary was read from its article page.
Eligibility and Cost
The 15% code comes from the email or text signup, which is free, and works only at katespade.com. The cashback routes are free to join, and TopCashback’s rates differ for new and existing customers, so the 20% is for a first Kate Spade purchase.
