Menards has no confirmed birthday benefit. Its official BIG Card page lists every benefit the card carries, and none of them is tied to a birthday. A birthday gift claim doesn’t trace to anything Menards has actually published.
What Menards Is
Menards is a home improvement retailer concentrated in the Midwest, known for its distinctive 11% Rebate sales events and a wider mix of general merchandise than its two national competitors typically carry.
What Was Actually Checked
Menards’ own BIG Card page, read in full, lists exactly three benefits: “2% REBATE EVERY DAY,” special financing offers, and a 1% rebate on gas and merchandise at BIG Network partners. No birthday perk appears anywhere on the page.
What the Popular Claim Actually Traces To
An in-store, ask-the-cashier birthday gift is sometimes described, tied to Menards’ 11% Rebate sales events rather than anything built into the BIG Card itself. It isn’t confirmed on any official Menards page. A community thread from January 2026 specifically asks “Are we no longer getting gifts?”, suggesting that even the informal version of this claim may no longer hold consistently, if it ever did everywhere. This site’s standard requires a stated, official benefit, and Menards has none published.
No Cashback Route Either
Fluz’s only listing for Menards is its generic 1.5% virtual-card rate, which doesn’t count as a real route under this site’s standard.
Eligibility and Cost
The BIG Card requires credit approval, with no annual fee mentioned on its own benefits page. None of its stated benefits are birthday-specific.
Q&A
Q: Does Menards have a birthday discount?
A: Nothing confirmed. Its official BIG Card page lists no birthday benefit, and an in-store claim doesn’t trace to anything Menards has published.
Q: What’s the in-store birthday gift people mention online?
A: An informal, store-level claim tied to Menards’ 11% Rebate sales events, not a stated BIG Card or company-wide policy, and recent community reports suggest it may not be consistent even where it once existed.
Q: Is there a cashback route instead?
A: No genuine one. Fluz only lists the generic 1.5% card.
Q: What does the BIG Card actually offer?
A: A 2% daily rebate, special financing, and a 1% rebate on gas and merchandise at BIG Network partners.
Q: What is the 11% Rebate?
A: A recurring Menards sales event offering rebate checks on qualifying purchases, separate from any birthday-specific claim.
Q: How many Menards stores are there?
A: Concentrated in the Midwest, with over 350 locations across roughly 15 states.
Q: When was Menards founded?
A: 1960, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and it remains a privately held, family-owned company.

Ace Hardware and Do It Best both state a real, defined birthday benefit in their own official terms, unlike Menards. Northern Tool is in a similar spot: nothing official found.
