NYX’s current program has no birthday element at all. The older Makeup Crew program is widely described online as having one; the current ACCESS program mentions birthdays nowhere in its terms or on its landing page. What NYX does have is a real 12% cashback rate, the highest in this month’s lineup.
What NYX Professional Makeup Is
NYX Professional Makeup is an American cosmetics brand selling makeup at drugstore prices with a professional-artistry positioning, known for its Butter Gloss, Epic Ink Liner and setting sprays. It sells through drugstores, mass retailers and its own site, and is owned by L’Oreal.
The Program Was Renamed, And The Benefit Did Not Carry Over
NYX’s older loyalty program, Makeup Crew, dates from around 2017 and is described across the web as carrying a birthday perk.
The current program is NYX Professional Makeup ACCESS, and the word birthday appears nowhere on either its legal terms or its landing page.
A rebrand is where benefits quietly disappear. When a program relaunches under a new name, an old perk can stay attached to a program that no longer exists.
This Is A Repeating Pattern
Beauty Brands shows the same shape in this month’s batch: its current program is Take 10 Rewards, while older third-party material still calls it the Club Card program, a name that appears nowhere on the live site.
The check that catches it: find the current program’s actual name on the brand’s own site, then search the terms for the benefit you are expecting. If the program name you’ve been given doesn’t match the one on the site, the information predates a relaunch.
The 12% Cashback Is The Real Answer
NYX carries a genuine merchant-specific rate of 12% through TopCashback. That is the strongest cashback rate found across either month sourced so far.
On a brand at drugstore price points, 12% back is worth considerably more than a birthday discount code would be. TopCashback
Drugstore Pricing Changes What A Reward Is Worth
A 12% cashback rate on a brand where most products sit in single digits returns a modest amount per order but applies to everything, every time. A birthday code returns more on one order and nothing across the rest of the year.
For a shopper who buys a couple of items at a time, several times a year, the recurring rate is worth more than the annual gift would have been. That is a genuinely better outcome than the program NYX retired, even though it reads like a loss.

A: 12% cashback through TopCashback, the highest rate in this lineup.
