Does RISE have a birthday discount?
No. RISE Rewards is a real loyalty program and it is free to join, but there is no birthday reward in it. The benefit is not on the rewards page, and it does not appear in any of the twenty-six questions in the program FAQ. If you have read otherwise, the section further down explains where that idea comes from.
What RISE Rewards actually gives you
You earn one point for every dollar spent, counted after discounts and before tax. Each point is worth three cents, and points come off a purchase in blocks of one hundred as a discount equal to three percent of the point total. Rhode Island runs at five percent instead.
Two limits matter more than the rate. Points expire one hundred and eighty days after you earn them, so this is not a balance to sit on. And in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island you can only spend points that were earned in that same state.
Who can join
Membership is free and open to patients and customers over 21 shopping in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
Ohio is the exception worth knowing before you sign up. Ohio medical and adult use shoppers can join the program, but state regulations mean they can only redeem their points on non-cannabis products.
Why some lists say RISE has a birthday discount
RISE publishes a guide to cannabis dispensary rewards programs on its own blog, and that guide discusses birthday rewards as a feature of the category. It describes how dispensary loyalty programs tend to work, not what RISE gives its own members. Round-up sites quote it as if it were the second thing.
There is no cashback route either
Cashback portals do not carry dispensaries. RISE returns nothing on Fluz, Price.com or TopCashback, and that is a fact about the category rather than about this brand, because cannabis sits outside the payment networks those services run on.
What to do instead
RISE runs deals at the state level rather than the personal one, and they change often. The deals page for your own state is the only reliable place to see what is live, and joining the rewards program at least puts those announcements in front of you.
Checked against RISE’s own rewards page and its full program FAQ. Cannabis programs change their terms frequently, so confirm before you rely on this.
