How To Get The Starbucks Birthday Deal
Join Starbucks Rewards in the Starbucks app or at starbucks.com/rewards, and add your birthday month and day to your account. The birthday field is optional, but without it you won’t get the reward. On your birthday the reward is added to your account automatically. To use it at a participating Starbucks, scan the member barcode in the app or hand over your registered Starbucks Card. You can check whether it has arrived by opening your account on the website or in the app.
What You Can Pick
You choose one handcrafted beverage, one food item or one ready-to-drink bottled beverage. The drink has to be a standard menu size. Multi-serve items are out, such as a tray of Cranberry Bliss Bars or a Coffee Traveler, and so are beverages that contain alcohol, merchandise and packaged coffee.
How Long You Have
Starbucks Rewards members at the Green level can use the reward on their birthday only. Gold members get seven days beginning on their birthday, and Reserve members get thirty days beginning on their birthday.
The Purchase Before Your Birthday
Starbucks wants at least one Star-earning transaction before your birthday each year, and the account has to be at least seven days old. A new member who joins the week of their birthday won’t get the reward that year, and a member who hasn’t bought anything in the past year should make a purchase before the date arrives.
Eligibility and Cost
Starbucks Rewards applies to members in the United States. Starbucks Rewards isn’t meant for anyone under 13, and members from 13 to 18 need a parent or guardian’s supervision. The birthday reward costs nothing beyond the Star-earning purchase you make beforehand.
