Walmart’s own “Birthday Rewards” page isn’t a member benefit at all. It’s a shopping category for party supplies. The real Walmart+ membership has no birthday perk anywhere in its benefits list, but a genuine 3% cashback route exists instead.
What Walmart Is
Walmart is the largest retail chain in the United States by revenue, selling groceries and general merchandise both in stores and online, with Walmart+ as its paid membership tier.
What Was Checked
Walmart’s own walmart.com/c/kp/birthday-rewards page turned out to be a product search category, roughly 440 items of party-favor merchandise like goodie bag stuffers and “Birthday Boy” badges. “Birthday Rewards” is simply Walmart’s own label for that product category, not a loyalty benefit. The full Walmart+ benefits list (Free Delivery, Free Shipping, Video Streaming, Gas Savings, Free Pharmacy Delivery, a 5% Cash Back Card, Burger King Savings, Walmart Cash for Travel, In-Store Perks, Pet Care, Free Returns, Scan and Go, and Early Access) has no birthday-specific item in it anywhere.
An Easy Search Trap Worth Naming
A reader searching “Walmart birthday rewards” and landing on that product category page could reasonably assume Walmart has a birthday loyalty perk. It doesn’t; that page is just merchandise for throwing someone else’s birthday party.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
Fluz sells a Walmart gift card at 3% cashback, confirmed as merchant-specific by the page’s own title (“Walmart gift cards with 3% cashback”), well above the generic 1.5% virtual-card rate.
Eligibility and Cost
A standard Walmart account is free. Walmart+ membership carries a paid monthly or annual fee and includes the 5% Cash Back Card among its benefits, none of it birthday-specific.
