The Body Shop’s US business closed entirely in 2024 and only came back in October 2025, digital-only, with no loyalty program yet. There is no birthday reward because there is currently no rewards program to attach one to.
What The Body Shop Is
The Body Shop is a British cosmetics and skincare retailer founded in 1976, known for ethically sourced ingredients, its opposition to animal testing, and products like British Rose shower gel, Tea Tree skincare and body butters. It built its identity on high-street stores and refill stations.
What Actually Happened
The US operation went through Chapter 7 liquidation and all 50 US stores closed on March 1, 2024.
It relaunched online only in October 2025 under new ownership, Aurea Group. The current us.thebodyshop.com storefront has no rewards or loyalty navigation item, no account perks page, and nothing resembling a birthday program.
The Old Loyalty Program Is Gone
Love Your Body Club was the pre-closure US loyalty program, and nothing has replaced it on the relaunched site. Any birthday reward attached to that program is gone with it.
What This Means For You
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to add a birthdate to. Buying from the relaunched US site is a straightforward transaction with no membership layer.
A loyalty program may well return, since a digital-only relaunch is usually a first step rather than a final state. Until it does, treat any birthday claim you read as describing the pre-2024 business.
No Cashback Route Either
Nothing merchant-specific was found. Fluz’s generic 1.5% virtual-card rate applies here as it does almost everywhere, which does not count as a real route under this site’s standard, but the card works: Fluz
Why This One Is Worth Rechecking
Most no-program findings on this site are stable. A company that has chosen not to run a birthday reward tends to keep not running one, and Five Guys or Aesop can be treated as settled for years.
This is the exception. A brand rebuilding a market presence from scratch is very likely to stand a loyalty program back up, because that is how it will try to win repeat customers without a store estate. Of everything sourced for this month, this is the entry most likely to be out of date first, and it is worth a look each year rather than being taken as permanent.

Compare This To
Lush is the closest comparison and has a US program with no birthday element, and Origins is the natural-skincare alternative that does give a real birthday reward.
