Alamo Drafthouse used to give a free birthday ticket. It doesn’t anymore. Confirmed directly in Alamo’s own FAQ, the current benefit is a free sweet instead, issued on your actual birthday.
What Alamo Drafthouse Is
Alamo Drafthouse is a movie theater chain known for its dine-in seating and strict no-talking policy during films, operating under its Alamo Victory loyalty program. It was founded in Austin, Texas, and has since expanded to multiple states while keeping its dine-in, curated-programming reputation.
How To Get The Alamo Drafthouse Birthday Deal
To get it, join Alamo Victory and add your birthday to your account. The free sweet is issued directly to your account on your actual birthday, not in advance.
What Was Actually Checked
Alamo Victory’s own rank table lists, at the Fan level, from sign up: “FREE BIRTHDAY SWEET — Issued on your birthday.” Alamo’s own FAQ confirms the change directly: “What happened to birthday tickets? Unfortunately we are not able to provide birthday tickets at this time. Going forward you’ll receive a free sweet (movie candy or fresh baked cookies) for your birthday, which we hope you’ll enjoy just as much – everyone deserves a little something sweet on their birthday.”
This Is a “Changed,” Not a “Confirmed Absent” Case
Alamo Drafthouse used to give a free movie ticket on your birthday. Alamo’s own FAQ now explicitly says birthday tickets are no longer available, replaced with the sweet described above.
Eligibility and Cost
Alamo Victory’s Fan tier, the entry level, is free to join and qualifies for the birthday sweet from the moment you sign up. Redemption happens through QR Ordering while logged into your account, and the reward expires 30 days from issue, the same as other Victory rewards.
