LEGO doesn’t state a birthday offer on any page read, and the best money-back route found is TopCashback’s 3% on LEGO purchases. What LEGO does have is Insiders, a free rewards program for adults, and a “Birthday Cake” set that went out as a gift with purchase for Insiders in September 2026.
What LEGO’s Birthday Page Is
The LEGO shop describes its Birthday Gift Ideas page this way: “we’ve hand-selected some of the very best LEGO sets for builders of all ages, from kids to adults.” That page is a product list of 88 sets. It sorts what to buy someone on their birthday and says nothing about a gift or discount for the birthday person.
What LEGO Insiders Gives
LEGO Insiders is the loyalty program, and the program page says “You have to be at least 18 years old.” It was announced on 21 August 2023 as the replacement for LEGO VIP, and the announcement says it’s free to join. Points come from “participating in activities, purchasing sets on LEGO.com and in participating LEGO Stores, and by registering your LEGO sets,” and you can spend them on “exclusive rewards and coupon codes.” You can’t earn or redeem points when you buy LEGO Gift Cards, though you earn points when you pay with one.
The Birthday Cake Set
LEGO’s promotions terms list a gift with purchase called Birthday Cake (40780) for “LEGO Insiders orders online at LEGO.com” from September 9 to September 19, 2026, “while supplies last.” It needed a qualifying purchase of $65 or more in LEGO merchandise, carries an approximate retail value of $12.99, and is limited to “One set per household.” It was open to every Insider that week and wasn’t tied to anyone’s birthday, and the dates have passed.
What The Old Post Claimed
An earlier version of this post said to join the LEGO VIP program and receive a birthday surprise by email, such as a free minifigure, set or keychain. No LEGO page read says that. VIP no longer exists under that name. The “Minifigure birthday bash!” page is a party activity guide for ages 6 and up with the line “Join LEGO Insiders to access the full activity,” so it isn’t a free minifigure.
The Real Route: 3% Cashback On LEGO Purchases
TopCashback’s LEGO page says “Get 3% of the price back with our LEGO Cash Back offers,” with 3% listed for online purchases. Price.com’s LEGO page is titled “LEGO Coupons, Promo Codes & 1.5% Cash Back,” and says Pro members earn 2.25% instead of 1.5%. It also lists exclusions with the text “Cash Back not available on BL, GC, or LL Tickets,” and says cash back will be added to your wallet in approximately 89 days. Fluz’s LEGO page shows its general virtual card rate of up to 1.5%, not a LEGO-specific one. Rates move, so check the number the day you order.
What Was Actually Checked
LEGO’s Birthday Gifts page, Minifigure birthday bash page, Insiders program pages, points article, VIP announcement and promotions terms were read on 2026-10-07. The word birthday appears in those pages only in the shop menu, the gift ideas page, the party activity page, the set named Cat Birthday Party & Tree House and the Birthday Cake promotion. TopCashback was read through headless Chrome, and Price.com and Fluz were read through a plain fetch.
Eligibility and Cost
Insiders is free but 18 and over only. The Birthday Cake gift needed a $65 qualifying order and an Insiders account, and has ended. TopCashback is free to join, and its cash back shows in your account within 7 days of a purchase, though it usually isn’t payable until the return period is over.
