GoPro has no birthday reward. The real discounts on its site are a paid subscription that takes up to 50% off accessories and a 5% ID.me offer for specific groups. Cashback isn’t a route here either: no GoPro-specific rate turned up on any of the three portals.
What GoPro Is
GoPro’s annual report for 2025 says “We were originally incorporated as Woodman Labs, Inc. in California and began doing business as GoPro in February 2004.” It reincorporated in Delaware in December 2011, and it says “We completed our initial public offering in July 2014.” The Class A stock trades on Nasdaq as GPRO, and the headquarters is 3025 Clearview Way, San Mateo, California 94402.
The same report says the subscription attach rate was 43% in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 34%, and annual-subscriber retention was 68%, against 69% a year earlier. The subscription is a bigger part of how GoPro keeps customers than any birthday perk.
No Real Cashback Route Found
Price.com’s GoPro page says “Cash back is not currently available for this store.” TopCashback’s GoPro address returned a not-found page, and Fluz lists GoPro at “1.5% cashback,” which is its generic baseline rate and not specific to GoPro. Rates move, so check the portals again before a big purchase.
What Was Actually Checked
GoPro’s live legal pages refused plain page requests, so the terms (September 15, 2026) and privacy policy (June 2, 2026) were read from archived copies, and the 2025 annual report was read from the SEC’s filing system. None of them contain a birthday offer, and the annual report has no mention of the word at all. The home page newsletter box, “Get exclusive offers and updates,” asks for an email address only. The account signup loads through script, so whether it asks for a birthday wasn’t confirmed.
The Discounts GoPro Does Describe
The subscription page says: “Subscribers save up to 50% off accessories at GoPro.com … Save up to $150 USD on your next GoPros. Save big on 2 cameras per year when you renew,” with a limit of 2 per year. It lists Premium at $59.99 a year and Premium+ at $99.99 a year. The ID.me page says: “Enjoy 5% off GoPro products* for all verified military and veterans, first responders, medical professionals, government workers and teachers. *Only in the US.”
Eligibility and Cost
Both discounts depend on something other than your birthday: a paid subscription in one case and a verified group in the other. If you already buy a GoPro every year or two, the subscription math is worth running against the $59.99 or $99.99 fee, since the savings on cameras are capped at 2 a year.
