Ulta’s Ultamate Rewards birthday gift asks for less than almost any other program in this category, and comes with a bonus. Confirmed directly against the program’s own terms.
What Ulta Is
Ulta Beauty is a cosmetics and beauty retailer with locations across the United States, carrying makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance from brands including Tarte, Clinique and Urban Decay, plus in-store salon services.
How To Get The Ulta Birthday Deal
To get it, join Ultamate Rewards and make sure your birthday is in your profile. No advance notice is required, just have it on file before your birthday month. Redeem in store with nothing else needed, or online with anything in your cart.
What Was Actually Checked
The full Ultamate Rewards Terms and Conditions were read end to end.
“All Members are eligible to receive a birthday gift each year, while supplies last.” The only requirement is having your birthday entered in your account profile with a valid email or the mobile app; no stated lead time.
In store, no purchase is required. Online or for pickup, the rule is a merchandise purchase of a non-marketplace product “subtotaling greater than $0,” which in practice means almost anything qualifies.
The coupon is valid during your birthday month only, one per member, while supplies last.
The Bonus Nobody Leads With
Members also earn double (2X) points on qualifying purchases made in-store and online during their birthday month, on top of the gift itself.
One Claim That Doesn’t Check Out
Nothing in Ulta’s own terms sets a lead time, and that includes any “sign up 30 days before your birthday month” rule.
What To Do
Join Ultamate Rewards, confirm your birthday is on your profile, and watch for the coupon in the app or by email during your birthday month.
