Sephora is a prestige beauty retailer carrying makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance from hundreds of brands, both well-known and indie. It runs its own stores plus a shop-in-shop presence inside Kohl’s.
How To Get The Sephora Birthday Deal
To get it, join Beauty Insider and add your birthday to your profile. No lead time is required. Redeem any time during your birthday month, free in store, or with at least $25 in your basket online.

Eligibility is every Beauty Insider member, one gift per calendar year, redeemable any time during your birthday month.
In store, no purchase is required. Online, the rule is different and specific: “your basket must include a merchandise purchase of $25 or more, including discounts and after any cash redemptions are applied.” Through Sephora’s Kohl’s shop-in-shop specifically, there’s no minimum at all, a separate rule from the main site.
Gift options vary, and some sets are reserved for VIB or Rouge tier members rather than open to every Beauty Insider. The gift does not apply to orders placed through Instacart, DoorDash, or Uber Eats.
One Claim That Doesn’t Check Out
A lead-time rule (having your birthdate on file some number of days before your birthday) circulates for this program online, often stated as 30 days. It isn’t in Sephora’s own terms. The full Terms and Conditions were searched for every mention of “birthday,” and the landing page separately, and neither states any lead-time requirement at all. Add your birthday whenever you like; nothing here says it has to be early.
