DJI has no birthday reward today, and the one it used to have came with a paid membership that’s gone. The 8% cashback rate that appears for DJI on TopCashback belongs to a reseller, not to DJI’s own store. What DJI does offer is 1% back as store credit.
What DJI Is
DJI’s company page says “Headquartered in Shenzhen … we have grown from a single small office in 2006 to a global workforce,” with offices listed in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Its US store is at store.dji.com, and it’s separate from the reseller sites that also carry its products.
No Real Cashback Route Found
Price.com’s DJI page says “Cash back and coupons are not currently available for DJI,” and Fluz doesn’t list DJI. TopCashback has a listing that reads “Get up to 8% of the price back with our DJI USA Cash Back offers,” and it’s the trap here. That listing is for djiusa.com, which says “This site (djiusa.com) is run by Focus Global Digital Limited, an independent company that resells DJI products” and “This site is not owned or operated by SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd.” So the 8% doesn’t apply to store.dji.com. TopCashback’s plain DJI address lands on a photography category page with no rate on it.
The Birthday Surprise That Went Away
DJI Select was a paid membership with a real birthday perk. An archived copy of DJI’s German store page from March 2021 lists “Geburtstagsüberraschung,” a birthday surprise, and “Bis zu 50% Rabatt, Geburtstagsgeschenke und vieles mehr!” (up to 50% off, birthday gifts and more) for “DJI SELECT €49/Jahr!” An archived copy of the US Select page from November 2020 carried the Birthday Surprise too. Today the Select address returns a not-found page in the US and German stores alike. When it ended isn’t confirmed on any DJI page, so don’t count on it coming back.
What Was Actually Checked
DJI’s store home page, privacy policy, DJI Credit page and coupon help page were read. The store’s footer says “Subscribe to get exclusive offer, then login or register at Store.dji.com with your subscription email to check it,” which takes an email only and never names the offer. The privacy policy mentions a birthday only as an optional profile field, “gender, birthday, professional information and other information on your profile page,” with no offer attached. The account registration page loads through script, so its form fields couldn’t be read.
Eligibility and Cost
DJI Credit is the program that exists now. The page says credit becomes available about 15 days after delivery, “DJI Credit that has been issued will not expire,” and it isn’t earned on the amount paid with a coupon. The coupon rule is “One coupon per order.” None of it depends on your birthday.
