Say your birthday is a few weeks away and you’ve had your eye on a new pair of running shoes or a set of leggings, so you join the brand’s list and wait for the code. Whether anything arrives depends on a date you probably never saw. Billabong wants your birthday on file at least 30 days ahead and Gymshark at least 7. Vuori’s cutoff is the last day of the month before your birth month, and Athleta’s is seven business days before that month starts. Four of the eight activewear brands checked put an amount in writing: Gymshark’s 15% code, Nike’s 10% off with a $100 minimum, Asics’ $10 off $25 and Billabong’s 500 points. The other four promise a gift or a treat and leave the amount out of the text, and all eight were checked against each brand’s own pages on October 2, 2026. Terms change, so check the brand’s page before you sign up.
These four put an amount in writing
Gymshark: 15% off full-price items, in a code emailed on your birthday and good for 30 days. Join Gymshark Loyalty at least 7 days before your birthday, since the support article says you must sign up that far ahead. The code can’t be stacked with another one and doesn’t work on sale items.
Nike: 10% off select items with a $100 minimum purchase, applied to the first $500, so the most it takes off is $50. Join as a Nike Member and save your birthday to your profile before your birthday, because if you sign up on or after it, your first offer comes the following year. It stays active for around 60 days, and the exact date is in your birthday email.
Asics: $10 off an order of $25 or more in a single transaction, valid for 30 days from the first day of your birth month, for OneASICS members in the US and Puerto Rico. The terms state no join-by deadline, so joining before your birth month starts is the safe way to be covered. It’s one-time use and works on asics.com and in stores.
Billabong: 500 points for celebrating a birthday, with no purchase required, which convert into Reward coupons capped at $20 per transaction, one per order, and you need $25 in your cart to use one. Your birth month and day need to be in the Billabong Crew section of your account at least 30 days before your birthday, or the points arrive late or wait until next year. Points expire 6 months after you earn them.
Gifts and treats, with no amount in the text
Vuori: a birthday gift whose value depends on your spending tier over the 365 days before your birth month. Vuori shows the tier chart as an image, so the dollar values aren’t in its text. Enroll no later than the last day of the month before your birth month, because enrolling during it pushes your first gift back a full year. Enrollment is free with no purchase needed, for US residents. The terms say the reward expires at the end of the month the email was sent while the program page says 30 days, so use it inside the month.
Alo Yoga: a birthday gift with a purchase, once a year in your birth month, for ALO Access members in the United States. The terms don’t name the gift or a minimum purchase, and they say the benefit isn’t available during the sitewide sale exclusion periods, which they don’t list. They also don’t say how far ahead to join, so joining before your birth month starts is the safest reading.
Athleta: the Encore Birthday Bonus is a gift “selected at Gap Inc.’s discretion,” with no amount named. Your birthday has to be on your account at least seven business days before the first day of your birth month. Encore is free to join, and the higher tiers add gifts for family members: one extra for Premier, and up to three for All-Access cardmembers.
Title Nine: promises “a treat during your birthday month” to anyone who gives their birth month on its email signup. The page doesn’t say what the treat is, what it’s worth or how far ahead to sign up, and no other page read mentions a birthday.
