Ring has no birthday reward, and its signup form never asks for your birthday. What it does have is a verified-group discount for military, first responders, students and teachers, and a free 30-day trial of its Ring Protect plans. No Ring-specific cashback rate turned up on any of the three portals.
What Ring Is
Ring’s About page says the company started in a garage in 2012. Amazon’s quarterly report to the SEC says it acquired Ring Inc. on April 12, 2018, for cash consideration of approximately $853 million, net of cash acquired. If you’re standing in front of a video doorbell wondering whether a birthday code is worth waiting for, there isn’t one on Ring’s own pages to wait for.
No Real Cashback Route Found
Price.com’s Ring page says “Cash back is not currently available for this store.” TopCashback’s Ring address returned a not-found page. Fluz lists Ring at “1.5% cashback,” which is its generic baseline rate and not specific to Ring. Rates move, so check the portals again before a big purchase.
What Was Actually Checked
Ring’s terms, give-back page, privacy notice, About page, plans page, shipping and returns page and account signup page were all read. None of them offers anything for a birthday. The privacy notice uses the word once, inside a video search example (“Guy carrying a birthday cake”), which has nothing to do with a birthday date or a reward. The account form asks for first name, last name, email and password, and the newsletter box on the give-back page takes an email address only.
The Discounts Ring Does Offer
The give-back page lists Military, First Responder, Student and Teacher discounts through VerifyPass. It describes a “one-time discount code” and says “(Limit 1 code per 24 hours.)” None of it is triggered by a birthday.
Ring’s plans page lists Ring Protect at $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, plus Virtual Security Guard at $99 a month. It says Ring Protect has a free 30-day trial, and that’s the closest thing to a way to try the service before you pay.
Eligibility and Cost
Ring’s shipping and returns page states a 45-day refund window and free US shipping. The verified-group codes need you to pass VerifyPass, so they’re for the people the page names and nobody else.
