Dell Rewards is free. Its own page says members “can earn up to 9% back in rewards to use on future purchases,” and the base rate is 3% back on Dell.com, calculated before tax. A hundred points equal $1. Rewards expire on the last day of the sixth month after the month you made the purchase, so rewards from a January order expire on July 31. Members can earn up to $20,000 in rewards in a calendar year. What Was Actually Checked
The Dell Rewards page was read in full, including the embedded terms and conditions of about 48,700 characters, and the word “birth” appears nowhere in it. The closest thing is a line in the FAQ about earning rewards “for simple activities like filling out your profile,” which doesn’t mention a birthday. Dell’s Member Purchase Program and Premier pages have no birthday text either.
Dell’s senior discount page does mention a date of birth, but only as identity checking: “Double-check that your name, date of birth, and other details on the SheerID form match your official documents exactly.” That verifies your age for the 60-plus discount and doesn’t reward you for it. Dell Advantage and Dell Advantage Pro are names that circulate, but their addresses on Dell.com return the general homepage or sitemap, so no program by those names was found. The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate (Dell Refurbished)
TopCashback lists Dell Refurbished as its own merchant, and the page reads “Get 5% of the price back with our Dell Refurbished Cash Back offers.” The page doesn’t say which Dell store the listing tracks, so the safe reading is that it’s for refurbished machines and not for new ones on Dell.com. TopCashback’s separate Dell Technologies and Dell Outlet pages show no rate at all, and Price.com says cash back isn’t currently available for Dell. Fluz has no Dell listing, and its Dell Technologies page shows only its generic 1.5% store rate. Rates move, so check before you buy.
