GameStop has no birthday reward. Its complete PowerUp Rewards and Pro Account Terms and Conditions were checked in full, and the word “birthday” doesn’t appear anywhere in the document. A genuine 6.5% cashback rate through Fluz is the real option instead.
What GameStop Is
GameStop is the largest dedicated video game retailer in the country, selling new and used games, consoles, and accessories, with a loyalty program called PowerUp Rewards.
What Was Actually Checked
GameStop’s full GameStop Pro & Account Terms and Conditions, covering both the free PowerUp Rewards tier and the paid PowerUp Rewards Pro tier, was read in its complete, expanded form (over 80,000 characters of legal text) and searched specifically for “birthday.” No mention appears anywhere. Two older PowerUp Rewards FAQ and benefits URLs that used to describe the program have since been retired and now return a 404 on GameStop’s own site, even though they’re still indexed by search engines.
An Unconfirmed Claim
A “$5 birthday reward” redeemable at partners like Barnes & Noble, Cinemark, Macy’s, Taco Bell, or Xbox doesn’t appear anywhere in GameStop’s own current, binding terms, so this post treats it as unconfirmed rather than repeating it as fact.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
Fluz sells GameStop gift cards at a confirmed 6.5% cashback rate, a real, merchant-specific rate.
Eligibility and Cost
PowerUp Rewards’ free tier costs nothing to join. PowerUp Rewards Pro is a paid tier, roughly $25 a year. Neither ties any benefit to a member’s birthday.
