Nintendo emails a real 15% off promo code around your birthday, confirmed directly on Nintendo’s own terms page, and Xbox gives Microsoft Rewards members 2x points on eligible games and add-ons during their birthday week, confirmed on Microsoft’s own Xbox support page. Those are the only two real birthday benefits found among the eight video game stores and platforms checked for this roundup. The other six have nothing, though most carry a genuine cashback rate instead.

The two real benefits
Nintendo: a real 15% off promo code on select physical items, confirmed on Nintendo’s own birthday promotion terms page. US and Canada only, one per account, can’t be combined with other offers.
Xbox: 2x Rewards points on eligible games and add-ons bought from the Store during your Monday-to-Sunday birthday week, confirmed on Microsoft’s own Xbox support page. It’s bonus points rather than a discount, the points are claimed the week after, and it can’t be combined with other Rewards offers. A real 10% Fluz cashback rate on Xbox gift cards exists too.
No program, real cashback instead
EA Play: its FAQ and member benefits page have no birthday mention, and “The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle” is a franchise anniversary, not a personal one. A real 15% Fluz cashback rate exists instead.
Twitch: no general customer loyalty program exists at all. A real 5.5% Fluz cashback rate exists instead.
GameStop: its complete PowerUp Rewards terms never mention a birthday. A real 6.5% Fluz cashback rate exists instead.
PlayStation: PlayStation Stars has no birthday benefit and is shutting down entirely in November 2026. A real tiered TopCashback rate on PlayStation Direct exists instead.
Steam: its Subscriber Agreement has no birthday provision at all; Steam’s own “birthday” sales mark the platform’s anniversary, not yours. A real 1% Fluz cashback rate exists instead.
No program, no cashback either
Epic Games: Epic Rewards’ complete FAQ, expanded and checked twice, has zero birthday mention, and only a generic, non-qualifying Fluz platform rate exists.
