Lowe’s has no birthday reward in My Lowe’s Rewards, its loyalty program. What it does have: a genuine 8% cashback rate on Lowe’s gift cards through Fluz, well above the typical merchant-specific rate found elsewhere in this project.
What Lowe’s Is
Lowe’s is one of the two largest home improvement retailers in the United States, selling building materials, tools, appliances, and hardware, with a strong focus on the DIY homeowner alongside its professional customer base.
What Was Actually Checked
My Lowe’s Rewards’ own program pages and terms all blocked direct access. Lowe’s corporate newsroom press release announcing the program’s launch, readable directly, lays out the full tier structure: Bronze Key earns 1 point per dollar plus free shipping over $35, Silver Key earns 1.25 points per dollar plus free shipping with no minimum, and Gold Key earns 1.5 points per dollar with the same free-shipping benefit. All members also get points toward MyLowe’s Money, free member-only gifts, free DIY-U workshops, and exclusive offers. Credit-card holders get 5% off daily and an automatic upgrade to Silver Key. Nothing in this tier breakdown is birthday-specific. This is the program’s launch announcement rather than its live terms document, so a birthday perk added later can’t be fully ruled out, but nothing found supports one existing.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate, Not a Birthday Program
Fluz sells Lowe’s gift cards at a confirmed 8% cashback rate, a real, merchant-specific rate rather than the generic 1.5% virtual-card rate. TopCashback also lists Lowe’s, but only up to 4%, and even that requires an online purchase in the lawn and garden (non-powered items) category specifically; every other online purchase caps at 1%. Fluz’s flat 8% beats both figures for essentially any purchase.
Eligibility and Cost
My Lowe’s Rewards is free to join, with tiers based on annual spend. The Fluz cashback route has no membership requirement of its own beyond a Fluz account.
Q&A
Q: Does Lowe’s have a birthday discount?
A: No, nothing in My Lowe’s Rewards’ tier structure is birthday-specific, based on the program’s own launch material.
Q: Is there a real way to save instead?
A: Yes, a genuine 8% cashback rate on Lowe’s gift cards through Fluz.
Q: How does that compare to TopCashback?
A: TopCashback tops out at 4%, and only for lawn and garden non-powered items online; everything else is 1%. Fluz’s flat 8% is the better rate regardless of category.
Q: What do the My Lowe’s Rewards tiers actually get you?
A: Points per dollar spent (1 to 1.5 depending on tier), free shipping, member-only gifts, free workshops, and exclusive offers, plus a 5% daily discount for credit-card holders.
Q: Do I need a My Lowe’s Rewards account to use the cashback route?
A: No, the Fluz gift card works independently of Lowe’s own loyalty program.
Q: Does the Fluz gift card expire?
A: Gift card expiration is set by Lowe’s itself once purchased; check the card’s own terms at the time of purchase.
Q: Is My Lowe’s Rewards worth joining anyway?
A: For regular Lowe’s shoppers, yes, since the points and free shipping add up over time, just not on your birthday specifically.

Home Depot is in the same position, no birthday program, with its own genuine cashback rate at 6%. Ace Hardware has a real program-based birthday offer instead.
