Razer’s own page promises a birthday “surprise treat,” and never says what it is. Customers on Razer’s community forum report emailed promo codes that vary by country and come with a minimum spend. Since Razer doesn’t state a value or terms, treat it as real but unpredictable. A 2% Price.com rate is the only confirmed money back.
What Razer Is
Razer’s About page says, “Founded in 2005, Razer is dual headquartered in Irvine, California and Singapore, with regional headquarters in Hamburg and Shanghai and 19 offices worldwide.” It lists Min-Liang Tan and Robert Krakoff as the founders and says Tan has been CEO since September 2006. Razer went public in November 2017. It sells gaming laptops, including the Razer Blade, and peripherals.
Razer changed its rewards on April 1, 2026. Its help page says all Razer ID accounts earn a flat 50 Razer Silver per US$1 spent, replacing the earlier spend-based tiers. Silver is credited 14 days after your order is received and expires 12 calendar months after the month it was awarded.
What Razer Says About Your Birthday
Razer’s profile-completion page is headlined “Complete Your Profile and Get $20 OFF*.” Its benefits list includes “Receive a surprise treat on your birthday.” The $20 offer carries a footnote: “*Offer is valid with a minimum purchase of US$100. Terms and conditions apply.” That footnote is attached to the $20, and Razer doesn’t say it applies to the birthday treat. Offers “are only applicable for purchases made on Razer.com and cannot be combined with any other offers.”
Razer’s other rewards page, at razer.com/store/rewards, says nothing about a birthday, and describes the new-member offer as a $10 code on orders of US$99 or more, which doesn’t match the profile page’s $20 and US$100. The Razer Silver terms and help page have no birthday text either. Razer’s privacy policy lists date of birth among the personal information processed when you create an account.
What Customers Report
Razer’s own community forum, Razer Insider, has customer posts describing what actually arrived. These are customers’ accounts, not Razer’s terms, so none of it is a promise. One customer wrote in November 2025 that they received an email a month before their birthday with a promo code. Another, in the EU, described a EUR 20 code valid until September 30 with a EUR 100 minimum. US customers describe codes with a $100 minimum that expired on the last day of a month, and a Korean customer describes a KRW 28,000 code with a KRW 129,999 minimum. Several of these posts are complaints that the code wouldn’t apply at checkout.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
Price.com lists “Earn 2% cash back at Razer,” with a maximum of $15 per order. TopCashback has a Razer page, but it shows no rate. Fluz shows only its generic 1.5% store rate. Rates move, so check before you buy.
Eligibility and Cost
Razer’s page is titled Complete Your Profile, which suggests that’s where your birthday gets on file. Price.com is free to join, and its $15 per-order cap means the 2% only matters up to a $750 order.
