Williams-Sonoma credit-card holders get a real $25 birthday certificate every year, identical to the one Pottery Barn and West Elm share. The catch that matters most: it’s confirmed specifically for credit-card holders, and whether the program’s free tier also gets it is unresolved.
What Williams-Sonoma Is
Williams-Sonoma is a kitchenware and home goods retailer, the flagship brand of Williams-Sonoma Inc., which also owns Pottery Barn, West Elm, and several other home brands under one shared loyalty program.
How To Get The Williams-Sonoma Birthday Deal
To get it, hold The Key Rewards Visa credit card and have made a purchase in the 12 months before your birthday month, with your account open and current when the reward is issued. The $25 certificate is then sent to your account automatically during your birthday month.
What Was Actually Checked
Williams-Sonoma’s own program page was blocked on every direct attempt, so this was verified instead through the credit-card issuer’s own product page, which states directly: “A $25 Birthday rewards certificate will be issued during your birthday month and will be available through your Williams-Sonoma, Inc. account.” The eligibility terms, word-for-word identical to Pottery Barn’s and West Elm’s own card pages, require a valid email and US mailing address on file, an open and current account when the reward is issued, and a purchase within the 12 months before the birthday month. Only one certificate issues per 12-month period, redeemable within 30 days.
The Free Tier Does Not Get This
The Key Rewards has a free, no-credit-card “Silver Rewards” tier alongside the Visa card tier. Confirmed directly against the program’s own full terms: the “BIRTHDAY REWARDS” clause sits only under the Gold Program Terms and Conditions, the credit-card tier. The Silver Program Terms section does collect your birthday at signup, but ties no reward to it anywhere in the document. The $25 certificate is exclusive to Gold/Visa cardholders.
Eligibility and Cost
The Key Rewards Visa card requires credit approval. The reward is account-level across the Williams-Sonoma Inc. family, meaning the same $25 certificate can be used at Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, Mark & Graham, and Rejuvenation, regardless of which brand you signed up through.

Q: How much is Williams-Sonoma’s birthday reward?

Q: Do I need a recent purchase?
A: Yes, within the 12 months before your birthday month.
Q: How long do I have to redeem it?
A: 30 days from issuance.
Q: Is Williams-Sonoma just kitchenware?
A: Its core business is kitchenware and cookware, though it also carries home decor and furniture-adjacent goods.
Q: What does the free Silver Rewards tier get instead?
A: General program benefits short of the $25 birthday certificate; no cashback alternative specific to Williams-Sonoma was confirmed separately, so check the site’s cashback partners directly if you’d rather not apply for the card.
