HyperX has no birthday reward, but its store ships free on every order, takes returns for 30 days and matches lower prices, and Price.com pays 2.5% back. The store perks come from HyperX’s own pages, and none of them depend on your birthday.
What HyperX Is
HyperX’s About page says its mission “has been to develop gaming products for all types of gamers,” from headsets, keyboards and mice to charging accessories for console players and mousepads, “for the gaming community and beyond.” It adds “We’ve shipped over 20 million gaming headsets, one million keyboards and one million microphones worldwide.” The store’s footer credits HP Development Company, L.P., and Price.com’s HyperX page says the brand “is part of HP Inc.” If a headset is your birthday present to yourself, the free shipping and the price match are the parts that save you money. HP, which the brand is part of, has its own post here.
What HyperX Offers Instead Of A Birthday Reward
The About page lists four store perks: “Free Standard Shipping on all orders,” “30-Day Hassle-Free Product Return,” “Up to 2-year Warranty on all products” and “Price Matching.”
The shipping page backs up the first: “We offer free standard shipping on all orders.” The returns page backs up the second: “Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed with any product purchased on hyperx.com within 30 days of the product purchase.”
The price match works on new items. HyperX says it will match the current pre-tax price on identical accessory model numbers from a nationally recognized online retailer, and the page names Amazon.com and BestBuy.com among them. The page says “Just chat with us or send us an email before you buy.” Only one price match per item per guest is allowed, and it’s US only. Coupon offers, special discount offers, bundles, refurbished, used and open-box items and clearance are among the exclusions, and you can take a price match or a coupon or special discount, but not both. A price protection section says if HyperX lowers the price of something you bought, you can ask support for the difference within the return and exchange period. That section’s exclusions include “Non-HP branded products,” and the page doesn’t say how it treats HyperX-branded ones, so ask support before you count on it.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate (2.5% at Price.com)
Price.com’s HyperX page reads “Earn 2.5% cash back at Hyperx,” and lists no cap or exclusions. TopCashback’s HyperX address returned “Page Not Found,” and Fluz’s returned a 404. Rates move, so check the current number before you order.
What Was Actually Checked
HyperX’s home page and About page were searched for “birthday,” “reward,” “newsletter” and “student,” and none of those words turned up. Its shipping, returns and price match pages were read for their terms. The price match page is written around “Comparable PCs,” so some of its language reads as computer-focused. A promo banner on the home page carried a code, which is left out here because banner codes go stale. The Price.com page was read for its rate and terms.
Eligibility and Cost
Shipping is free to the 50 US states and DC, and price matching is US only. Price.com’s extension is free to add, and its page says purchases “will typically show in your wallet as pending in 7 days,” with cash back added “in approximately 90 days.”
