MSI’s Reward Program gives members birthday bonus points if they log in during their birthday month, once a calendar year, but the terms never say how many points. That’s the whole promise, so it’s a real perk of unknown size. No cashback route turned up to stack on top of it.

Wikipedia describes Micro-Star International as “a Taiwanese multinational corporation based in New Taipei City, Taiwan,” and says the company “designs, develops, and provides computer hardware, related products, and services.” Its lineup runs from laptops and desktops to motherboards and graphics cards. If a new laptop or graphics card is on your list, joining the Reward Program well ahead of your birthday month is worth the few minutes. The terms mention no joining fee.
How To Get The MSI Birthday Deal
Create an MSI Reward Program account, then log in to the Reward Program during your birthday month. MSI’s terms put it this way: “Members will be eligible for birthday bonus points, which will be credited to their membership account if they log in to the Reward Program during their birthday month.” They add: “Birthday bonus points will be awarded only once during a calendar year.” The terms don’t say whether joining during your birthday month still earns that year’s bonus, so signing up before the month starts is the safe move.
What The Terms Leave Out
The birthday paragraph names no amount and no region. It doesn’t mention tiers either, so nothing in the terms says the bonus changes with your level. The terms do sort members into tiers by the points they accrue in a year, in a table marked “Valid as of [July 7, 2021]”: 0 to 199 points for Bronze, 200 to 999 for Silver, 1,000 to 1,999 for Gold and 2,000 and up for Platinum. They also say “We may, from time to time, offer rewards or other benefits that are exclusive to a specific Membership Tier,” and send readers to the Reward Program page for the current list: “For a list of current benefits, please visit MSI Reward Program page.” That page couldn’t be read for this post (details below), so the amount stays unconfirmed.
How Long The Points Last, And What Ends Them
Bonus points don’t sit forever. The terms say “all redeemable points will expire twelve (12) months after they are earned,” and “This period will always finish at the end of the month.” So points earned in March would last through the end of March the following year. The terms open that sentence with “Unless otherwise specified,” which leaves room for exceptions.
Two other rules can wipe a balance. “Termination of your Program account (either by you or by MSI) will result in the forfeiture of any redeemable points and rewards then associated with your Program account,” and “any reenrollment will reset your Program balance to zero (0) and you will start off at the bronze tier.” The terms also say “Points have no cash value and cannot be paid out in cash,” and that MSI “reserves the sole, discretionary right to modify, suspend, or terminate any or all Program(s) in effect without prior notice,” which includes the right to “adjust reward values, amounts, and conversion requirements.”
The Birthdays MSI Celebrates Are Its Own
Several MSI pages use the word “birthday” for the company itself, not for you. A press release titled “Happy Birthday MSI! Exclusive Gifts for Members,” dated August 5, 2024, says MSI was marking its 38th anniversary with events that ran from August 1 to August 31. One was an Instagram contest that asked fans to share an AI-generated anniversary birthday card, with a chance at prizes. Older anniversary pages invite members to “wish MSI happy birthday!” and to spend points on entries in a birthday sweepstakes, and a page for MSI’s 37th year describes a birthday party with a piñata game that costs 5 points to play.
Those are fun, and some hand out prizes or points, but they’re company parties that happen in August. Your own birthday bonus is the one in the terms, and it follows your birth month.
No Real Cashback Route Found
Price.com’s MSI page says “Cash back is not currently available for this store.” TopCashback’s addresses for MSI and MSI Store both returned “Page Not Found,” and so did Price.com’s MSI Store address. Fluz’s MSI Store address returned a 404. Fluz’s MSI page says “Get 1.5% cashback at MSI with a Fluz virtual card,” which matches the general rate in Fluz’s FAQ, “up to 1.5% cashback on Fluz Virtual Card purchases (sometimes more based on the merchant’s offer).” That reads as Fluz’s baseline for every merchant and not a rate set for MSI. Rates move, so check the current number before you order.
What Was Actually Checked
MSI’s live pages wouldn’t open for this check. A plain page request to the Reward Program terms returned an “Access Denied” message, and a second fetch tool got an HTTP 403. That’s MSI’s servers turning away the request and not a finding about the program. The terms quoted here are an archived copy of the page captured on January 16, 2026, headed “MSI REWARD PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS [Updated as of August 1, 2023],” and they were read in full. MSI’s rewards earn and FAQ pages load as empty shells without a browser, so nothing on them could be read. If MSI has changed the birthday bonus since that version, this post won’t show it.
Eligibility and Cost
To join, you have to be a natural person and a regular consumer. The terms rule out anyone who will “operate as a business or organization of any type” or “operate on behalf of a business (eg. company IT or procurement staff),” and MSI’s own affiliates, partners, resellers and their employees can’t register. You also have to be 18: “Participants under 18 years old cannot register or participate in the Program or accrue any points or reward.”
“Only one account is permitted per individual,” and “Program accounts, as well as rewards, cannot be transferred to any third parties, unless offered as such.” When you do redeem, “Some rewards require product registration before redemption,” and “Additional conditions and possible shipping costs may apply when obtaining a reward.”
