Topgolf doesn’t list a birthday freebie or discount, and the best money-back route found is Fluz’s 8% cashback on Topgolf gift cards, with Price.com listing 4% as well. Topgolf’s own FAQ answers “What do you do for birthdays?” by pointing you to the events page for a party. The old version of this post said the same thing about birthdays and was right about that.
What Topgolf Is
Wikipedia describes Topgolf as an American multinational sports-entertainment company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, known for its golf-based driving range venues. The venues are built around bays, and Topgolf’s own FAQ sizes a party that way: “Events at Topgolf start with a minimum of 7 people (2+ bays).”
What Topgolf Says About Birthdays
The FAQ question is “What do you do for birthdays?” and the answer is: “We’ll do whatever you want to make that day even more special. Whether you want a big party or a small gathering, it’s your day and we’re here to help. To get the ball rolling, head over to topgolf.com/events.” That’s an invitation to plan a party, not a perk for the birthday person. Nothing on the page mentions a free bay, free game play or a percentage off.
The Birthday Party Packages
Topgolf’s kids birthday page says youth packages are “available for ages 17 and younger,” and online booking is “available for groups of 7-24 and up to 60 days in advance.” The listed inclusions are “Two hours of Topgolf game play,” “Topgolf Accounts for all Players,” “Complimentary kids clubs available” and “Dedicated team to set up and manage party.” Prices depend on the venue you pick from a drop-down, so this post can’t give you a number. The FAQ adds that “Game play value cannot be applied toward events.”
Cakes And Decorations
You can bring your own cake: “We require that all cakes be store-bought with clearly-labeled ingredients in case of allergies.” Topgolf can’t store it, except ice cream cake “temporarily in our freezer as long as it is in a covered/sealed container.” Balloons and streamers are allowed inside your bay, and you take them down when the reservation ends.
The Real Route: 8% Cashback On Gift Cards
Fluz’s Topgolf page is titled “Topgolf gift cards with 8% cashback.” It says to buy a gift card to earn the cashback, and the e-gift cards run from $20 to $250 and are redeemable in-store and online. That’s a gift-card route: you buy the card on Fluz, then pay at Topgolf with it. Price.com’s Topgolf page is titled “Topgolf Coupons, Promo Codes & 4% Cash Back” and says the cash back “will be added to your wallet in approximately 90 days.” TopCashback’s Topgolf address returned a not-found page. Rates move, so check the number the day you order.
The $15 Referral Coupon
Topgolf’s Refer a Friend page gives a new member “$15 off game play just for joining,” and the member who referred them gets $15 too, up to 14 times a year. It’s tied to the Topgolf app, not to a birthday. The coupon “is not valid for use on parties or events,” lasts 30 days, and “Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon, offer or promotion.”
What Was Actually Checked
Topgolf’s FAQ, kids birthday parties page, memberships page, refer-a-friend page and about page were read on 2026-10-07 through headless Chrome, and Wikipedia was read through a plain fetch. The promos address and one membership address returned page-not-found errors. No page read describes a birthday discount, a free bay on your birthday or a birthday email. Fluz, Price.com and TopCashback were read the same night.
Eligibility and Cost
You pay for the bay time whatever the occasion. A Fluz account and the gift card purchase come first on the cashback route, and the gift card terms on the Fluz page weren’t read, so check them before you buy. Online party booking needs someone 18 or older.
