ASUS doesn’t publish a birthday reward. Its Member page, its store page and both the FAQ and the terms of its ROG Elite gaming program were read, and none of them mention a birthday benefit. The real saving is 1% cashback, through TopCashback or Price.com.
What ASUS Is
ASUS lists itself as “ASUS (2357.TW),” and its About page calls it “an innovative technology leader delivering the world’s most comprehensive AI solutions.” Its sub-brands include ROG (Republic of Gamers), TUF Gaming and ProArt. The gaming side has its own loyalty program, ROG Elite Rewards, separate from the ASUS Member registration.
ASUS Member is the general sign-up: “Become an ASUS member to receive exclusive benefits! Laptop owners receive 1 year of Accidental Damage Protection*!” That’s for the US and Canada only, product registration has to happen within 60 days, and Best Buy USA units don’t qualify.
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
TopCashback’s ASUS page reads “Get 1% of the price back with our ASUS Cash Back offers,” and Price.com says “Earn 1% cash back at ASUS.” It’s a modest rate. TopCashback also lists an exclusion: coupon codes not displayed on TopCashback don’t qualify. Fluz doesn’t carry ASUS: all three store addresses tried returned a not-found page. Rates move, so check the current number before you order.
What Was Actually Checked
The ASUS Member page, the ASUS Store page, the ID.me discount page and the About page were read, and none mention a birthday. On the gaming side, the ROG Elite main page was read, along with the full FAQ across every category in a browser and the complete terms document. There’s no mention of a birthday in any of them. The ASUS account registration form redirects to a login page, so whether it asks for a birth date wasn’t confirmed.
One Loose Thread in ROG Elite’s Code
The ROG Elite page script contains components named “Birthday gift dialog” and “Birthday gift result dialog,” and the code checks whether a member’s birth month matches the current month before showing a Submit button. The text of the gift itself comes from a message the server sends, so nothing a reader can see says what it is. Treat it as a sign that something may exist for ROG Elite members in their birthday month, not as a documented reward.
Eligibility and Cost
The ASUS Store page lists a 30-day price match at most major retailers on identical products and free returns within 30 days. The site menu also lists a Military/Veterans Program and a page for ID.me verification, which are the closest thing to a discount program on the pages read.
