Dave & Buster’s has no birthday reward in its rewards program, and the best money-back route found is Fluz’s 10.5% cashback on Dave & Buster’s gift cards. What the rewards program does give is 100 free game chips with a 100-chip purchase when you join, and the birthday child gets extra game play only inside a paid party package.
What Dave & Buster’s Is
Wikipedia describes Dave & Buster’s as an American restaurant and entertainment business headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Each location pairs an arcade with a bar and restaurant, and you play on a rechargeable Power Card instead of with coins. Its kids birthday page calls the arcade floor the “Million Dollar Midway.”
What The D&B Rewards Page Gives
The rewards page says: “Join now & get hooked up with 100 FREE Game Chips with a 100 Game Chip purchase.” It lists “Earn 1 bonus game chip for each $1 spent on food and beverage (max $50 per day)” and “Complete challenges to earn badges, rewards, and bragging rights.” There’s no birthday line on the rewards page, in the official rules or in the FAQ. The official rules call the joining bonus a “welcome gift” and say it “may change at any time,” so the 100-chip offer is what the page says today, not a promise.
Game Play Counts Toward Levels
The rewards page says “Every chip you play helps you level up, earning a higher bonus and more rewards.” The rules put numbers on it: Level 2 comes at 300 chips played, Level 4 at 1,400 and Level 7 at 5,000. The level rewards are “48 Game Chips” at Level 2, a “Free Appetizer” at Level 3, a “Free Burger / Handheld” at Level 4, “100 Game Chips” at Level 5 and a “Free Entree” at Level 6. Icon members earn “10% more Bonus Game Chips” and Legend members “15% more.” So a big night of game play doesn’t earn nothing, even though only food and beverage spending earns the $1-for-1 bonus chip, capped at $50 a day.
What The Birthday Party Packages Give
The birthday part of Dave & Buster’s is a paid party. Its kids birthday page lists a Stack N’ Score package with “Birthday Child: $20 Power Card w/Unlimited Video Game Play** & a Power Tap Band” and “Guests: $10 Power Card with 2 hours of Unlimited Video Game Play,” at “$19.99” and a note that this is the “Starting price per person, prices vary by location.” Higher packages give the birthday child a $30 Power Card. The celebrate page says “The birthday honoree receives tickets or extra gameplay on their Power Card depending on purchased package.” You can bring a store-bought cake, but “no ice cream or ice cream cakes, please.”
The Real Route: 10.5% Cashback On Gift Cards
Fluz’s Dave & Buster’s page is titled “Dave & Buster’s gift cards with 10.5% cashback.” It says to buy a gift card to earn the cashback, and the e-gift cards run from $10 to $500 and are redeemable in-store and online. That’s a gift-card route: you buy the card on Fluz, then pay at Dave & Buster’s with it. Price.com and TopCashback both returned a not-found page for Dave & Buster’s, so only Fluz listed a rate. Rates move, so check the number the day you order.
What Was Actually Checked
Dave & Buster’s rewards page, official rules, FAQ, celebrate page, kids birthday page and specials page were read on 2026-10-07, along with Wikipedia. Their about page loaded only navigation text. The rewards page still carries expired promotion fine print and placeholder text such as “[city]”, so it was read alongside the rules. The newsletter signup form at the bottom of the site wasn’t touched. Fluz, Price.com and TopCashback were read the same night.
Eligibility and Cost
Rewards membership is free. The rules say it’s “open to United States residents who are at least 13 years of age” and that the program “is offered only at participating U.S. Dave & Buster’s locations.” The Fluz route needs a Fluz account and the gift card purchase first, and the gift card terms on the Fluz page weren’t read, so check them before you buy.
