eufy promises “Birthday Perks” and never says what they are. The eufyCredits terms are silent on a birthday reward, and the only birthday-linked credit is a one-time payment for entering your date of birth. The dependable route is 3.5% cashback through Price.com.
What eufy Is
eufy’s about page describes the parent company: “Since its foundation in 2011, Anker has innovated across smart hardware, software, and AI” and “serving 200M+ consumers in 180+ countries and regions.” The eufy line is now branded “Anker eufy: Smart Home.” Its loyalty program, eufyCredits, “was launched on October 10th, 2023.”
The Real Route: A Genuine Cashback Rate
Price.com’s eufy page reads “Earn 3.5% cash back at eufy.” TopCashback’s eufy, eufy Security and eufy US addresses returned not-found pages, and Fluz doesn’t list eufy. Rates move, so check the current number before you order.
The Birthday Perks That Aren’t Spelled Out
eufy’s member benefits page has a heading, “Birthday Perks,” with this text: “Celebrate your special day with exclusive birthday benefits available to our members. It’s our way of making your birthday even more memorable.” No reward, amount, code or condition is named. The eufyCredits terms, the eufyCredits program page and the new-member page were also read, and none says what the perks are or how you’d receive them. When a marketing page promises a perk and the terms say nothing, count on the terms.
The one birthday-linked reward that’s written down is a profile credit: “Completing your profile. The first time you fill in your name, phone number, and date of birth, you will receive a one-time reward.” It pays once for entering the date. The terms add that the app can’t do it: “does not have the function to enter birthday or contact information,” and “Credits for completing personal information can only be obtained once, and subsequent corrections will not be added.”
What Was Actually Checked
The member benefits page, the eufyCredits terms, the eufyCredits program page, the new-member page and the home page were read. The new-member page says “Get 10% OFF & up to $50 OFF Coupons” and “Get 300 eufyCredits,” with no birthday text. The account registration page returned a not-found page, so the registration form wasn’t seen.
Eligibility and Cost
The terms say “Credits are based on your order subtotally, after any discounts. Credits are rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, if you spend $99.99, you will earn 100 eufyCredits.” The program page says “Your eufyCredits will be credited to your account 30 days after the payment of your order is successful” and that credits earned after the launch date expire one year after they become available. Rewards are “usually eufy discount codes, gift cards (eufy or third-party gift cards) and products,” and the credits work on eufy.com and the eufy Security app, not on Amazon or other retail sites. The refund policy says undamaged products can be returned “within 30 days of purchase.” The menu also lists a 55+ Year Old Discount, a Student Discount and a Trade-Up Program, and their terms weren’t read.
One thing to watch for: TopCashback’s Anker page reads “Get 8% of the price back with our Anker Cash Back offers.” That’s Anker’s store, and nothing on it says purchases at eufy’s store are covered.
