These have a real, confirmed birthday reward
Target: 5% off a future purchase, no purchase required to unlock it, confirmed directly by Target’s own help center. Valid 30 days.
Kohl’s: a real birthday gift, but it’s documented on a different page than the standard terms document, and it needs a purchase before your birthday month starts to activate.
Dollar General: a real myDG reward valid your entire birthday month, one of the more forgiving windows in this category.
Walmart’s own “Birthday Rewards” page isn’t what it sounds like
Walmart‘s dedicated birthday-rewards URL is a product search category, not a member benefit. The full Walmart+ benefits list, checked in full, has no birthday item anywhere in it. Walmart does carry a real 3% Fluz cashback rate instead.
These have nothing, but still pay real cashback
Sam’s Club checked its own full benefits article: nothing birthday-related. It carries the same real 3% Fluz rate as Walmart, its parent company.
These have nothing at all
Costco and BJ’s Wholesale Club: both real warehouse clubs, both checked against their own detailed membership benefit pages, neither with a birthday element. Neither carries a real cashback route either, only the generic 1.5% card.
Dollar Tree: no birthdate field found anywhere current, and a birth-data claim associated with the brand traces back to an unrelated 2019 sweepstakes, not a standing program.
