Say your birthday is coming up and you want something new from the mall brands you already shop, a dress, a hoodie or a bra set, so you go looking for who will take something off. Altar’d State gives 25% off a whole full-price order, and ASOS gives 20%. Princess Polly, Lulus and Aeropostale pay a dollar amount that depends on your tier, while Victoria’s Secret, Aerie and American Eagle pay the same amount at every level. Abercrombie, Hollister and Gap each list a birthday gift but never say what it’s worth. These 11 brands were each checked on October 6, 2026, against their own pages. Terms change, so check the brand’s page before you sign up.

Percent off your birthday order
Altar’d State: 25% off an entire full-price purchase during your birthday month, as a coupon code emailed on the first day of the month after you join Stand Out Rewards with your name, birthday and ZIP code. It can’t be combined with other offers or used on gift cards.
ASOS: 20% off for free ASOS.WORLD members and 25% at the top A-Lister tier, which also needs a return rate under 70%. The code is prepared 16 days before your birthday, and your date of birth has to be on your account at least 24 hours ahead or you wait until next year.
Dollars off that depend on your tier
Princess Polly: $10, $15, $20 or $25 depending on your tier in its free rewards program. The gift is emailed two weeks before your birthday, so add your date of birth early. It expires after 3 months and excludes sale items and gift cards.
Lulus: $5 at Member, $10 at Insider, $20 at Icon and $30 at All Access in the free Love Rewards program. Add your birthday to your profile at least 30 days ahead, and you also need to be an active customer, meaning you’ve taken a qualifying action in the last 12 months.
Aeropostale: a $10 CashPass for Insider tier members and above, and nothing for the free Member tier. You reach Insider by spending $100 in a calendar year or by holding a JCPenney card, and the CashPass arrives on or about the first day of your birthday month.
One amount at every level
Victoria’s Secret: a $10 Reward for every member of its free rewards program, at the Member, Silver and Gold levels alike. It expires 90 days after it’s issued and needs a single purchase worth at least $10.
Aerie: a one-time $5 off a single purchase in your birthday month for every Real Rewards member. The program is free, with no purchase needed to join, and it shares its rewards with American Eagle.
American Eagle: a one-time $5.00 off a single total purchase in your birthday month for every Real Rewards member, including the free first level. It’s the same program Aerie uses, so one membership covers both.
A gift with no amount in writing
Abercrombie & Fitch: the myAbercrombie perks list a Special Birthday Surprise, with no dollar figure, percent or code in the terms. Your account has to be open at least 30 days before your birthday, or you miss that calendar year.
Hollister: House Rewards lists a Special Birthday Gift, also with no amount in writing, and the same 30-day account rule applies. It’s a separate program from Abercrombie’s, with its own terms.
Gap: Encore members get a birthday gift once a year that Gap picks, with no amount published. Your birthday has to be in your profile at least seven business days before your birthday month starts.
